Description
Speech Assistant AAC is a text-to-speech (TTS) app designed for people who are speech impaired, for example due to Aphasia, MND/ALS, Autism, Stroke, Cerebral Palsy or other speech problems.With the app you can create categories and phrases, which are placed on buttons. With these buttons you can create messages that can be shown or spoken (text-to-speech). It is also possible to type any text using the keyboard.

Voices
The voice is not part of the app, but the app uses the voice installed on your device.
For example, you can use one of the voices from 'Speech Services by Google'. It has female and male voices in many languages. If it is not available on your device, you can download it from the Google Play Store.
You can change the selected voice in the voice settings of the app.
Full version
The basic version of the app is free. In the settings of the app you can upgrade to the full version. This is a one-time payment for these extra features, there is no subscription.

4 ★Something happened and premade phrase buttons disappeared. 2/12 Good app, but misleading. Dark mode should be in the free version. The screenshots show an alt color version, but this isn't actually included in the app. It requests an additional $10.99 payment for this feature along with a few others. Meaning there's also no unpaid dark mode version. Appreciate having a free app, but have mixed feelings about profiting off of likely disabled people using this app. Glad to have this though.

4 ★Fantastic AAC app! I love how customizable it. The android app is a little behind the iOS in updates so there aren't thing like subcategories and it doesn't work in a phone call. But over all very good app
4 ★I've used speech assistant for years. While I'm sad that this has fallen behind uts iOS counterpart it's still a very functional app. However, what would be nice if a desktop emulation environment that could be used to build boards. Building custom boards is really the hardest party of using this, and while typing is possible and great having phrases ready at hand is pretty useful. I tried editing a backup file but that was very confusing.
