Surah An-Nazi’at (bahasa Arab:النّازعات) adalah surah ke-79 dalam al-Qur'an. Surah ini tergolong surah Makkiyah, terdiri atas 46 ayat. Dinamakan An Naazi’aat yang berarti Malaikat-malaikat yang mencabut berasal dari kata An Naazi’aat yang terdapat pada ayat pertama surat ini.nama lain surat ini adalah : as-Sahirah (Permukaan Bumi); at-Tammah (Malapetaka Besar)
“Demi (malaikat-malaikat) yang mencabut (nyawa) dengan keras, (1) dan (malaikat-malaikat) yang mencabut (nyawa) dengan lemah-lembut, (2)” (QS An-Nazi’at [79]: 1-2)
An-Nazi’at (“النازعات“) yaitu para malaikat yang mencabut nyawa.
Terjadi ikhtilah para ulama tentang makna an-nasyithath (“النَّاشِطَاتِ“). Ibnu ‘Abbas mengatakan “وَالنَّاشِطَاتِ نَشْطًا” artinya malaikat yang mencabut nyawa dengan mudah. Kalau yang pertama (yaitu) mencabut nyawa dengan keras, yang kedua yaitu mencabut nyawa dengan mudah.
Sebagian ulama menafsirkan “وَالنَّازِعَاتِ غَرْقًا ﴿١﴾ وَالنَّاشِطَاتِ نَشْطًا ﴿٢﴾وَالنَّازِعَاتِ غَرْقًا” artinya “Demi malaikat maut yang mencabut nyawa dengan keras.” dan “وَالنَّاشِطَاتِ نَشْطًا” artinya “Demi malaikat maut yang mencabut nyawa dengan mudah.”
