Ḥasan ibn ʿAli ibn Abī Ṭālib (Arabic: الحسن بن علي بن أبي طالب, 624–670 CE), commonly called Hasan, was the second Shiite Imam, succeeding his father Ali and preceding his younger brother Husayn ibn Ali.
