O Laboratório Unidos iniciou suas atividades em 20 de janeiro de 1986 na rua Paissandu nº. 1600.Em 1989 adquiriu sede própria e mudou para a rua Uruguai nº. 1555, 7 andar da Policlínica.
No ano de 1996 novamente transferiu sua matriz para a rua Morom, 1336.
Aderiu ao Programa Gaúcho de Qualidade e Produtividade (PGQP) em 1994 e foi o laboratório pioneiro no Rio Grande do Sul em trilhar todos os ciclos de melhorias do PGQP, em credenciamento pela Sociedade Científica de Análises Clinicas e Certificação ISO 9000.
