This free app will help guide you through the process of reviewing appropriate use ratings for 7 cardiac imaging modalities for 80 clinical scenarios. This helpful tool is based on the ACCF/AHA/ASE/ASNC/HFSA/HRS/SCAI/SCCT/SCMR/STS 2013 Multimodality Appropriate Use Criteria for the Detection and Risk Assessment of Stable Ischemic Heart Disease.Repurposed by permission from Elsevier Inc.: Wolk MJ, et al. This application is intended to help guide healthcare professionals through the process of determining which cardiac imaging modalities are potentially appropriate for patients. By reviewing information about your patients through this application, you may determine which cardiac imaging modalities are considered appropriate, may be appropriate, or rarely appropriate for a given patient indication, based on the AUC developed by the authors of the publication listed above. Although these criteria may provide guidance, they are not intended to serve as substitutes for sound clinical judgment and practice experience.
