MUQADDIMAH PENERJEMAHاَلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ حَمْدًا كَثِيْرًا طَيِّباً مُبَارَكًا فِيْهِ كَمَا يُحِبُّ رَبُّنَا وَيَرْضَاهُ، وَالصَّلاَةُ وَالسَّلاَمُ عَلىَ مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى آلِهِ وَأَصْحَابِهِ وَمَنْ تَبِعَهُمْ بِإِحْسَانٍ إِلَى يَوْمِ الدِّيْنِ. أَمَّا بَعْدُ:
Alhamdulillah telah selesai penggarapan terjemah kutaib (kitab kecil) dari matan kitab hadits yang terkenal Arba’in an-Nawawi “Kumpulan 42 Hadits Pilihan” yang disusun oleh Al-Hafizh An-Nawawi (w. 676 H). Matan ini termasuk jajaran matan hadits yang banyak dikaji maupun disyarah oleh para ulama karena berisi pokok-pokok agama Islam.
Yang saya lakukan pada hadits-hadits dalam kutaib ini adalah:
[1] Menerjemahkan dengan gaya bahasa sendiri dan membandingkannya dengan hasil terjemahan lain saat menemui kesulitan dan keganjalan.
[2] Judul saya buat sendiri dengan menggabungkan judul yang ada pada kitab Syarah al-Arbain an-Nawawiyah oleh Imam Ibnu Daqiq ‘Id (Darussalam: cet. ke-2 th. 1428 H/2007 M, tahqiq: Muhammad Awad Haikal) dan Syarah Hadits Arbain oleh Ustadz Yazid Abdul Qadir Jawas (Pustaka Imam asy-Syafi’i: cet. ke-1 th. 1432 H/2011 M), dan terkadang tidak dari keduanya karena pertimbangan terlalu panjang judulnya.
[3] Takhrij saya ambil dari kitab Syarah Hadits Arbain karya Ustadz Yazid Jawas.
[4] Terkadang ada beberapa lafazh hadits yang tidak sama antara satu cetakan dengan cetakan lainnya. Jika menjumpai demikian, saya mengambil redaksi yang ada di kitab Syarah al-Arbain an-Nawawiyah oleh Ibnu Daqiq ‘Id.
