Description

Only use this app if you have the Dexcom G6 CGM System.

Always know your glucose number and where it’s heading with the Dexcom G6 Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) System – approved for diabetes treatment decisions with zero fingersticks* and no calibration.

*If your glucose alerts and readings from the G6 do not match symptoms or expectations, use a blood glucose meter to make diabetes treatment decisions.

With Dexcom G6, always know your glucose number with just a quick glance at your compatible smartphone or smartwatch. For a list of compatible devices visit www.dexcom.com/compatibility. Dexcom G6 provides real-time glucose readings as frequently as every five minutes. Dexcom G6 is approved for children age 2 and older.

The Dexcom G6 System provides personalized trend alerts right on your smart device and lets you see when your glucose levels are going too low, or too high, so you can better manage your diabetes. The Alert Schedule feature lets you schedule and customize a second set of alerts. Custom alert sounds are available, including a Vibrate-Only option on the phone for glucose alerts. The only exception is the Urgent Low Alarm, which you can’t turn off.

The Always Sound setting allows you to receive certain Dexcom CGM Alerts even if your phone sound is off, set to vibrate, or in Do Not Disturb mode. This will allow you to silence calls or texts but still receive audible CGM Alerts, including Low and High Glucose alert, Urgent Low Soon Alert, Urgent Low Alarm, and Rise and Fall Rate alerts. Always Sound is on by default. A Home screen icon shows you if your Alerts will sound or not. For safety, the Urgent Low Alarm and these alerts can’t be silenced: Transmitter Failed, Sensor Failed, and App Stopped.

In addition to the accurate performance provided by the Dexcom Sensor, you’ll receive other valuable features:

• Share your glucose data with your followers who can monitor your glucose data and trends on their compatible smart device with the Dexcom Follow app. Share and Follow functions require an internet connection.

• Quick Glance allows you to view your glucose data on the lock screen of your smart device
• A Dexcom Clarity link on the landscape trend graph lets you easily transition to the Clarity App to view more information on your glucose trends

Wear OS Integration

• Activate the Dexcom G6 watch face to quickly access your glucose information and trend graph right from your wrist
• You can view glucose alerts and alarms from your Wear OS watch

The Dexcom G6 Android App is compatible with select Android devices only. Visit Dexcom.com/compatibility for more information.

Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

3 ★So far the app is running reasonably well on my Galaxy 8S. the user interface is a bit flakey and slow, but i'm sure something this new has hiccups. What i'd like to see is a single place to add an event that contains carbs, fast acting insulin, long acting insulin, exercise, health and possibly most importantly a place for notes. As well i'd like to be able to see the past. just 24 hours is not enough. other systems have daily info for at least 90 days. this would be a good addition because looking at previous days is often extremely helpful.
1 ★Installed it and it didnt like my phone uninstalled it and will not change over to product. The one I use is fine.
1 ★Just had another failure with the g6 sensor. My first 6 sensors worked fine when I started in September, got 10 days no problem. Then problem occurred in November. I called tech support and was told by rep that there is a problem with the sensor batch that Dexcom received, but they weren't going to throw them out, they're using them until the defunct sensor stock is depleted. He said when sensor fails just report it and they will replace. They know! Libre looks better to me now. ONLY 500?
1 ★G6 app says my device LG G5 is not compatible with this "G5" app. It specifically says G5 twice. I had to look to make sure I actually downloaded the G6 app. Not impressed with Dexcom software, and I'm a developer.
1 ★Well, you somehow managed to make the ux/ui from the already bad G5 app even worse. No visual indicators for when you last took insulin or ate food on the graph. Alarms aren't anymore customizable. No visual indicator from the graph that I've had an alarm turned off. You have so much blank space on the graph that you could fill with info or options so that I don't need to click into 5 diff menus to see what I've logged or to enter info. This app took steps backward and I'm so disappointed.
1 ★Dexcom needs to fire their app developers. I advise you to use a third party app instead as the lack of control you get with this is mind blowing. Can't adjust volume for notifications. It's really annoying waking the whole house up at 2am. The list of issues with this app and previous apps can't be detailed in 500 characters. For the cost of this product id expect them to talk to someone with diabetes who uses this and get some insight on what people want.
1 ★The whole reason to move to Dexcom G6 was for the fact my cell phone (Motorola G7 power) would work with the app as verified by Goggle Play. That meant I would no longer carry around two devices one to track my blood sugar and my cell. I received the sensors and downloaded the app on my phone. @$%^^&$# the app did not work on my G7. Of course because its a medical device THERE ARE NO REFUNDS FOR THE SENSORS!! which while I understand dam out of pocket $300 for the starter pack.. *****Make sure you try the app before you buy the sensors.****** PS also missed that the G6 transmitter is $289 and needs replacing every 3 months the receiver is $499.
2 ★Love the new sensor. ..but the app isn't as good as the g5. The event log takes up way too much space when viewing the app on its side. Everything else is basically the same. The ability to add a schedule for the alarms could be improved if you had the ability to set more than one schedule.
3 ★Using in conjunction with my Tandem tslim pump. Compared to Dexcom G5 app, it makes no sense why you can only enter insulin units to 1 decimal point, eg: 5.6 instead of 5.69. Likewise when entering 'events', why can you only add one at a time? You should be able to add carbs and fast acting insulin in one, not two separate events. Makes entering not convenient compared to G5 app. Also, I prefer the layout of G5 app and events how they are layed out in the graph, but just personal preference
1 ★We have a Pixel 3a and the app does not work with it. We found out the app is also not compatible with Android 10 and may not be compatible in Canada at all. This is really disappointing as the only other option is to buy the $500 receiver. Tech support they told us that our device may never get supported and that they don't know how long it will be until Android 10 is supported. We were deciding between the Dexcom and the Freestyle Libre, but I guess our decision has been made for us.
1 ★Difficult to find a non apple phone that is supported. I just purchased a Samsung galaxy A71 and it's not supported. Same with the last android phone.
1 ★Even on an android 10 platform which should be the basis for whether a device works or not the app will not even allow me to attempt to connect a device because "it isn't in the approved device list" some real bs that I would need to buy another phone or an forced to buy the Dexcom transmitter just to make this thing work. When you already know the OS is compatible. Crooks, just a way to force consumers to use your own proprietary product. Don't you gouge diabetics enough already?
