Torna il “Brescia Summer Festival”, manifestazione musicale inaugurata nel 1997 con la storica esibizione di David Bowie, che lungo l’arco di 12 anni ha saputo proporre alla città nomi come Joe Cocker, Elton John, Cranberries, James Taylor, Al Jarreau, Bob Dylan, Keith Jarret, Alanis Morissette, Neil Young, Pino Daniele con Ron/ De Gregori/Fiorella Mannoia, Rod Stewart. Sabato 11 luglio si esibirà il cantante britannico Billy Idol mentre, tre giorni dopo, martedì 14 luglio, sarà di scena la star americana Anastacia.Nelle edizioni precedenti, le location cittadine scelte per i concerti erano lo stadio “Rigamonti”, piazza della Loggia e Piazza Paolo VI. Ora invece l’attenzione si è focalizzata in particolare su piazza della Loggia, vero cuore pulsante della città, luogo simbolo dei bresciani dotato di suggestione straordinaria e quindi anche perfetta cornice per ospitare musicisti di grande livello, che per la prima volta si esibiscono a Brescia.
La caratteristica principale della rassegna è sempre la stessa: gli artisti invitati sono alla loro prima esibizione assoluta all’ombra della Leonessa.
