(PLEASE READ) IMPORTANT notes for this beta release.--- --- ---
This is a beta app and the Bluetooth syncing functionality for the hardware H2OPal Smart Bottle Hydration is NOT reliable on many Android phone models. This version of the app is only suitable for early adopters and technology testers. This version of the app does not work well enough to be considered a great experience for the general public. Functionality may further be hindered on Android phones made by less known brands.
For certain Samsung and Google phones, we've done some initial tests and it has worked well, however, it appears that the popup for the Bluetooth pairing process is not something we can reliably initiate directly from the app.
If you decide to test the beta with an H2OPal tracker we recommend that after installing the app you:
(1) Go to your phone's Settings and then go to "wireless and networks" and then tap on Bluetooth.
(2) You will then need to separate the H2OPal tracker from the bottle and on the tracker you will need to remove the label that's protecting the battery to activate the tracker.
(3) Your phone will then detect the H2OPal as a Bluetooth device (if Bluetooth connection is lost, simply turn the tracker upside-down to reinitiate the connection). Tap to pair your phone with the H2OPal. You will need to use the PIN code on the label to pair with your H2OPal.
(4) Then you can proceed by using the H2OPal Android app and following the steps in the app for setting up your H2OPal.
During the initial calibration, you may get several notifications that your H2OPal has disconnected. This is normal behavior, but we need to make it more user friendly.
After you complete the initial calibration process your H2OPal will be ready to go and it will automatically make and sync measurements to track your water intake.

Download H2O-Pal APK file from ApkClean, then follow these steps:
Update Phone Settings
- Go to your phone Settings page
- Tap Security or Applications (varies with device)
- Check the Unknown Sources box
- Confirm with OK
Go to Downloads
- Open Downloads on your device by going to My Files or Files
- Tap the APK file you downloaded (com.outofgalaxy.h2opal-v1.4.2-ApkClean.apk)
- Tap Install when prompted, the APK file you downloaded will be installed on your device.

Q: What is an APK File?
A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.
Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?
A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
