4 ★Okay gang, here is the trick. Once you are at Step 3, manually change WiFi to the SSID to the device. Then, PUT YOUR PHONE IN AIRPLANE MODE but keep WiFi connected to the correct network. Tell app to send instructions. If you don't do the above, your phone (not app) sends the data over the active internet connection (your cell signal) vs to the controller SSID.

1 ★Why bother having an app? It ruins the customer experience! My system has been "registering" on the app for three weeks. With all the app developers out there your would think they would find one that can make this thing work. Absolutely useless to the point it makes you wonder why the company bothered to launch this if there was no intention of fixing/maintaining it.

1 ★Constant issues. Alerts for low salt even after confirming salt is full.

1 ★What I found that finally worked for me was changing the channel bandwidth for the 2.4 GHz radio from 20 to 20/40 MHz in the router settings. On my Arris G34 the setting is under Gateway > Connection > WI-FI > 2.4 GHz radio

1 ★Don't waste your time. The equipment is great and worth every dollar. This app is an embarrassment and shouldn't exist. "Account registration can take up to an hour." Why not instantly like every other service? It's been almost two days. I'm deleting this app and never looking back. (Edit) This is a dead app. My account hasn't registered even after 5 days.

1 ★This app is trash. It never stays connected. Tech support told me it was bad board. Board replaced and still disconnects all the time. They guy who installed it told me that I could unplug and plug it back up to fix it. That works for about 1 hour then disconnects. Rainsoft should do away with this app if they're softener system cannot actually communicate with it.
