Appen er et verktøy både for deg som allerede er blodgiver, og for deg som er interessert i å bli blodgiver. Her vil du blant annet finne kriteriene for å kunne gi blod og oversikt over karanteneregler, i tillegg til generell informasjon om blodgivning og hvor du kan gi blod. Gjennom en selvtest for nye givere vil du få svar på om du kan melde deg som blodgiver og hvordan du kan melde deg.Videre vil du kunne lese nyheter fra blodbanken (f.eks. endringer i reisekarantener eller åpningstider) og om ønskelig motta push-varsler ved eventuelle situasjoner med blodmangel. Tar du appens selvtest for etablerte givere, vil du få svar på om du oppfyller kriteriene for å gi blod i dag. Du finner også informasjon om timebestilling via internett, telefon eller e-post.
Innholdet i appen er utviklet av Blodbanken i Oslo ved Oslo universitetssykehus, men finnes i tilpassede versjoner for flere andre blodbanker.

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.
Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?
A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
