اللهم صل على محمد عبدك ونبيك ورسولك النبي الأمي الحمد لله الذي لا يخلف وعده، ولا يمنع سائله رفده، ولا ينقص مع كثرة عطاياه ما عنده، واشهد ألا إله إلا الله الملك المعبود وحده، وأشهد أن محمدا عبده ورسوله. من عليه المعول والعمدة، وبه يتوسل عند المولى ف يكل كرب وشدة صلى الله عليه وسلم وعلى آله وصحبه الذين خلفوه في الأمر بعده، صلاة وسلاما غير متقيد فيهما بمدة.
وبعد فهذا تصنيف لطيف سميته (التماس السعد في الوفاء بالوعد) جمعت فيه ما تيسر لي الوقوف عليه من الأحاديث والآثار ومناسبات الأشعار، وافتتحته بآية في المعنى مع طرف من تفسيرها الاسنى ليتوافق دليل السنة والكتاب ويظهر قوة من جنح في ذلك للوجوب من الأصحاب كما سيأتي في موضعه، مع إيضاحه وبيان قوة منزعه، جعلته عند مولانا الملك الأشرف لي ذخيرة رجا أن يلحظني بما ترجع به العين بجيد نقده فريده، ويتذكر بمجرد النظر فيه سابق وعده الصادق ويتخير من التقرير المعتبر ما يندرج في عموم بره ورفده وهو للغرض موافق ليحوز مع شرف نيته الثواب، الوارد فيه الكتاب والسنة معا، ويفوز بما تنطق به الجوارح في غيبته، فضلا عن اللسان من الحمد والدعاء ويضاف ذلك لمحاسنه الجمة التي لم نر من شاركه فيها من الملوك الأئمة. وإذا كانت العطايا هبات ربانية، وكريم السجايا نفحات روحانية فليس بمستبعد أن يدخر لمن تأخر في الزمن من الفعل البديع والقول الحسن، ما يفوق به من سبقه، توفيقا من الله وصدقه، وما عسى أن يقال في جميل صفاته وصقيل فكرته وذاته، قال:
ملك له رأي سديد مثلما ... حاز الشجاعة بالقنا والمرهف
ملك منه سالم مثل اسمه ... بالحسن ذا يدعى وذا بالأشرف
كالقول والوعد اللذين تماثلا ... ذا صادق فيه وذا منه وفي
ثبت الله قواعد مملكته، ونصره في سكونه وحركته، وكفاه كل مهماته وحفظه من كل جهاته ومتعه بالنظر لوجهه الكريم في دار النعيم المقيم بمنه وكرمه آمين.
