Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

1 ★The app is hortible. I am a subscriber and every time I get a notification for a news story, I click it anc it opens the app to the story but it's behind a pay wall and I can't read the story until I hit the back button to take me to the full news page, but then I gave to search for the story that I was originally trying to read from the notification, and sometimes I can find it anc sometimes I can't. If I'm opening the app from the notification and I'm signed in and subscribed, that's a bug.
1 ★After many years using the CDT app, the last update has made it unusable on my phone. I can't zoom to see tiny print and it keeps downloading large files that i just want to skim. Deleted.
1 ★Can't download Centre Daily Times on phone. Can't use desktop any more for downloads. I get the trash icon after it says downloaded, but no content at all. Spent hours on this. App is waste of time. If they don't allow us to download on desktop I will be cancelling my subscription. I never had any problems downloading for years until they made this change.
1 ★Centre Daily Times keeps stopping - message every time I try to use app.
2 ★Blurry
1 ★Can't read anything without a subscription. Uninstalled.
1 ★Tertible
4 ★The slow loading problem appears to have been fixed. Thanks to the developers for their quick action on the problem.
1 ★I hate this app.
2 ★Your October update says you "fixed some small bugs." I'm a subscriber, and now I have to re-login EVERYtime I click to read an article. Annoying as hell, and subscription cancel-worthy if not fixed in a timely manner. Yes, I've uninstalled and re-installed. Yes, I've logged out and logged back in. Yes, I've restarted my phone. It's not me. It's you. I see that I have gotten a reply from McClatchy. I'm sorry that I did not include I've contacted customer service in the string of things that I have already done. I am equally dismayed that you completely did not read my post. If you had, you would've seen that I said what the problem is. This is not going well for you. Customer service begins by paying attention.
