1 ★This app is so frustrating I want to throw my phone sometimes. There is no search feature, you can only scroll. So you'll see a story on the news, they say go to the app, you go and you can't find it. I have zero interest in scrolling through 30 stories to find anything. And they on have 2 categories. Sports, then your area of Houston. That's worthless. Because half the stories have nothing to do with a specific side of town. Why do I keep this app on my phone? It's a source of stress.
4 ★I do like the push headlines for important news stories, and updated info as they come out, I would like to get pertinent information as it becomes available, but more often than not, the "live broadcast updates " from Turner or Abbot, etc, just shows the thumbnail with the play icon, when pressed, all I get is the continuous spinning line of 'loading..trying..looking..' but not being able to play the video/news clip. Sometimes an earlier clip on the same page will play well, but not the 1st 1
5 ★Love it. It goes where I go or I feel lost without it. It is like my best friend all wrapped up in a tiny take-a-long package that fits nicely in my purse, never has a different opinion than me and introduces me to its huge group of others. It's equalivant to being in hi school n with the popular 'In' crowd and always knowing and being abreast of everything that is going on. Lol. I think (at least I hope) I made my point. Either I have or people think it is the writings of a 'deranged' fan.
2 ★After reading some reviews well i kinda wish the video would play like others but this app does the contrary on my phone. It buffers the video and never lets me play the video and this had been going on for a while. I even went to buy a new phone (LG G8)a month ago for the same purpose thinking my phone was the issue but that's not the case. The app continually keeps failing in that part. Please fix this issue because I'll hate to uninstall and start over with a different news app.
1 ★PLEASE turn OFF automatic playback of videos! or atleast give the option to pause them while reading the article! Also some times I get notifications about an article but when i go to the app and look for the article it's nowhere in to be found! Why would you push through a notification and then not even have that article on your app!?!?!?
2 ★I guess this app seems to work okay on my phone but the notifications are just depressing. I wake up to so many notifications about death, people getting shot, and stabbed with knifes, kids dying, murder here, police chase there. I mean I realize this is real life and those stories need to be heard, but I feel there should be more positive stories. Houston is a big city and it's not all about death and crime. I'd like to a bit of the brighter side of Houston as well. My opinion.
3 ★App works smoothly and haven't had too many bugs. But what is infuriating is when you close a video in a news story and it pops back up as soon as you start scrolling. If I close the video keep the video closed, at least it gives the option to turn off video auto-play.
5 ★I Love this app! It has all the breaking news and the option to watch the live video or scroll down is pretty cool. I haven't had any issues with any section (news, video, weather) and I first installed this app on my phone and now I added it to my tablet. Best News App
4 ★I would give 5 stars but every single story you click has up to 30 seconds of ads. I understand the need for ads, but you should only have to see 1 or 2 ads, not every single time you click on a story! I usually just back out and read about a story elsewhere.
2 ★Good with notifications but when you open the notification its blank. Have to open app but before opening the notification is frozen and doesn't let app open right away. Have to completely close everything and reopen app to read about notifications. SMH. If it gets fix maybe put back on cell.
3 ★when you click to read the story the video auto plays and I do not like that feature. I have tried to click the X to exit the video and it continues to play. I use to love the app until that started.
2 ★App is slow to respond from notifications, unable to share the reports, difficult navigation of the app.
