Description

This is a very simple RSS reader that I developed for personal use. I wanted something simple that I could read/browse while commuting.

It comes with a set of default URLs (which you can modify), an activity to view the news, and a widget that you can add to your homescreen.

This app has no advertising, it does not phone home, and it is free free free!

How to install RSS News Reader APK on Android phone or tablet?

5 ★Nice and minimal, reliable and easy to use. Gets the news to you quick on your homescreen and opens the full article with a tap. Would be nice to have a different colour for each feed. UPDATE: After the new update, the widget has disappeared. Not sure why? Also I can't change colours for different feeds. REQUEST: That's a shame about the widget. Is there any chance you could send me a link to the old apk so I can use the widget again? Thanks!

5 ★I had considered trying to write my own app to do exactly what this one does. I'm so glad I didn't have to. All I ever wanted from a RSS app was a list of headlines. Click on an interesting headline and it takes me to my browser to read the article. It's perfect! Hope over the long run it stays that way. - - - 9/15/17 - I've been using this app now for quite a while (months and months), and I can't even imagine using any of the other bloat-filled click-bait RSS apps. I don't need all the extra junk, just a list of articles for this morning. Thanks again!
