Lithuanian Presidency of the Council of the European Union presents an interactive mobile application VIALITHUANIA.EU which has been created to show how intrinsically related are different EU countries to Lithuania and vice versa. The application is a tool which will help to explore Europe via Lithuania: it is meant to portray the integrity of Lithuania to the EU as a part of the larger whole.The creators of this app gathered a substantial collection of less known and less expected links of Lithuania to other EU countries. The app is aimed to show that the countries are connected not only historically, politically and economically, but also to a great extent culturally, scientifically and even by lifestyle.
VIALITHUANIA.EU is an interactive tool - any user of the application can offer any type of links of Lithuania to other EU countries and vice versa, thus the content of the app is expected to grow even richer in time.
The application is made in two languages – Lithuanian and English. It has been developed for Android and iPhone platforms. Also, there is a special HTML5–based website vialithuania.lt for an enhanced user experience using common web browsers on personal computers.
