Description

Tumblr: home to your new favorite artist. Come for the effervescent digital paintings in every flavor of fandom. Stay for the breathtaking original offerings of those same artists. And, in between all the art: Old internet energy. All the fandoms you could wish for. Enough memes to knock out a moderately-sized mammal. Add to it or simply scroll through and soak it up.

Every piece of life-changing art you discover, every waterfall GIF you gaze at in wonder, every quote you reblog, every tag you curate—that’s all you. Reblog them to show the world who you are, what you love. You’re the explorer. We’re just a map you all keep on making. Welcome home. Make it yours.

If you’re an artist, you’re coming in hot to a community that will love your work. Think of this as your online studio with many options: A portfolio, your calling card for your creations with in-built social engagement and community, or an online drawing board, a place to hash out ideas, share sketches, and gather feedback. Take requests and commissions or join art challenges like Goblin Week, Mermay, Julycanthropy, and Yeehawgust. Discuss the finer points of your favorite brushes. Create OC art for your favorite writers on Tumblr. Sell prints (coasters! mugs! tchotchkes!) of your work—to an audience invested in you and actively seeking these things via our Artist Alley. Create a webcomic (have you heard of Heartstopper? Started here.)

Now picture all of the above, but on the go. That’s what this is.

Chances are if you’ve seen it elsewhere, it probably started here. That digital painting you can’t stop thinking about. That text post explaining the exquisite specifics of something you never realized you needed to know. Your dashboard will become a tapestry of all the wonderful, nonsensical, fantastical things you like. Whether you post, lurk in likes, or reblog to your personal online fridge. Whatever your community, you’ll find a ready-made home here.

When you have something to say—a hot take on the finer points of a Virgo moon, Barbie fanfic, an image of your turtle Harold that you simply *have* to share with the world: Shoot your shot with a photo, a video, or a text post. Make an audio post of your ramblings or share your current favorite song via Spotify. We even have a pre-set chat post for all your incorrect quotes.

The reblog starts conversations for everyone, creates jokes, and continues them—sometimes across the world and over the years. Time and space, right here at your very fingertips. Whatever you choose to send into our effervescent digital ether, know that it can, and will, go anywhere. (Unless, of course, you use our post-level reblog controls. Private blog? Private post? All possible here).

Tumblr is the home of fandom. We’ve all got that one special blorbo from our shows. There’s fanart you’ll want to stare at, reblog, stare at again—or create yourself, and share with the community. You can read your favorite ficcers from ao3 *and* see their OC art on Tumblr *and* discuss the finer points of lore with them. Pokémon? Got it. Marvel? Here. Kpop? Check. Supernatural? Of course. Minecraft? Ready and waiting. Star Wars? Yes! Doctor Who? Doctor YOU! You get the idea: it’s all here.

It’s a whole universe out here. If the prospect of creating, reblogging, shipping, and curating feels a little daunting, head over to tips.tumblr.com, where Cat Frazier of animatedtext.tumblr.com will take you through the finer points of Tumblr etiquette—the effervescent, the eeby, the deeby.

So. Sign up, fall in love with some art, follow some tags, and find your place on the dashboard. Then reblog, like, and post to your heart’s content. Or simply drift through the dream you’ve created for yourself—you hold the keys to this kingdom.

Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

User's Reivew

1 ★I have used this app for many years, but every new change makes it worse. I hate tumblr live, I hate the bothersome ad campaigns, and every ui change makes it harder and more confusing to use the app. I say, if it ain't broke don't fix it! The way the app used to be was fine. Reverse most if not all of the recent changes and I will consider changing my review. There's also a huge problem with bots that follow people and send spam messages. It's sad what the app has become.
1 ★Terrible user experience. As someone who's been around on both the website and the app, while its always had issues it has just been getting worse as of late. Awful buggy interface and unintuitive settings (including a "snooze" option for one feature that only lasts for 7 days each time its toggled), constant false reports on many users posts, ads that are completely unchecked and will contain uncensored porn. Avoid this app at all costs! Use a different social media app!
1 ★Horrible, garbage app. There's no pause button on videos. Images and videos no longer rotate when you rotate the screen. The dev team is constantly trying to peddle Tumblr Live to its users despite the vast majority of users expressing zero interest in it. Spam robots litter the website. Images and videos have a blurry background behind them and there's no option to turn it off. The tagging system is janky at best but usually completely nonfunctional.
1 ★I've been using the site for 12 years, and lately they just keep adding more and more features to try and mimick other social media sites, largely ignoring the fact that most of its users prefer tumblr *because* it lacks many typical social media features. The mobile app is slightly more usable than the desktop version, but both are becoming more difficult to navigate. If tumblr doesn't roll back or adjust some of these features it is very likely that they will start to lose their user base.
1 ★it's very odd to be on an app for a decade and watch it actively turn hostile towards it's user base. there are constant updates, but it's never for any quality of life improvements or fixes that users ask for. it's always the most random stuff that makes the app cluttered and harder to use. the search feature has not worked for as long as I can remember. and yet Tumblr has just made the Tumblr live TikTok knock off feature prominently featured and it is no longer able to be turned off. sad.
1 ★Not a fan of the recent updates, such as changed to zooming in on pictures, no pause button on videos, when you click on a user's name of a post, it used to take you to the original post on the user's blog, but now it taken you to the top of the blog which makes it harder to find context for some post, and almost impossible to see their original tags. Also, you used to be able to scroll up on a picture to exit zoomed in mode, but now it takes you to a while new post tik-tok style? Not helpful.
1 ★Tumblr is by far one of, if not the absolute worst social media app I've attempted to use. For one, I can't scroll down without the app noticeably lagging, to the point it's actually a chore to try and scroll. Two, if I back out of the app at all, even for a millisecond, the app puts me back at the top of the page every time, to the point it just annoys me. If this is supposed to be an app that users find satisfactory, I can say it fails miserably. UNINSTALLING!!!!!
1 ★Great social media, in theory. Staff has been actively making the platform worse-- introducing 'features' that don't matter all while ignoring their userbase-- not to mention the image viewer and website layout being changed to mirror other popular platforms, all while slaughtering the actual function. I've used Tumblr for years, and I don't know what they're trying to do with all of this.
1 ★I've been using this website for 10+ years, but recently the staff are pushing updates that are entirely unwanted, and make the site nearly unusable. The fact that I have to run scripts on my browser to make the sight functional is beyond acceptable. I can't upload images to the site either on a web browser or the app without getting constant errors.
1 ★I've been using this site for 10+ years. Recently, they've added a bunch of new features that make the app almost unusable. There's an obnoxious live video player, that none of the userbase wanted. Looking through pictures on the app is more difficult, and tends to scroll to random posts instead of the next image in a photoset. The video player is buggy. The search function still doesn't work. And all of the settings to turn features off are hidden in confusing menus.
1 ★tumblr COULD be a really great place full of cool people and real friends, but the recent changes have been infuriating. they keep changing the layout and adding new bells and whistles, with no (or very little/unclear) options to turn them off. if they gave us the option to use a "legacy" layout, that'd be one thing, but they keep saying they're trying to make the dashboard more customizable only to make it confusing and difficult to navigate. i rarely (if ever) feel that my feedback is heard.
1 ★Ive been active on Tumblr since 2014 and while annoying/bad updates aren't new they're really becoming unbearable now. Changes are constantly rolled out with no care of any feedback, the feedback option is already squirrelled away and near impossible to find and no feedback I've sent has been listened to. Most infuriatingly feedback I sent as a visually impaired person involving the changes to the image viewer. I can ignore other changes, this i can't, I can't just stop being visually impaired.
