Fruit d’une ambitieuse collaboration avec le Musée des Arts et Métiers, l’exposition « Eppur si muove » (« Et pourtant elle tourne ») du 9 juillet 2014 au 17 janvier 2016 au Mudam, à Luxembourg, s’intéresse aux nombreux liens qui existent entre le champ des arts visuels et celui des techniques, ainsi qu’à l’influence déterminante qu’exerce l’histoire des sciences et des techniques sur les artistes contemporains.
Investissant l’ensemble des espaces d’exposition du Mudam, elle réunit, sur le mode du dialogue, quelques soixante-dix pièces datant du XVIIIe siècle à nos jours issues des prestigieuses collections du musée parisien et plus de cent trente oeuvres d’artistes qui, à travers les notions qu’ils abordent, les expériences qu’ils proposent, mais aussi les modes de production et de collaboration auxquels ils recourent, se saisissent des questions qui animent les domaines de la technique et de la science depuis plusieurs siècles.
