Fatih Mehmet Erkoç 01.05.1974 tarihinde K.Maraş’ın Türkoğlu İlçe’sinde doğdu.Fatih Mehmet Erkoç, öğrenimine Kahramanmaraş Merkez Üngüt Mahallesi İlköğretim Okulunda başlayarak sırasıyla Ortaokulu, İbrahim Çalık Lisesinden mezun olarak,1992-1993 Eğitim, Öğretim Yılında eğitime başladığı, Erciyes Üniversitesi Mühendislik Fakültesi, makine bölümünden 1997 yılında mezun oldu. Kahramanmaraş Merkez’de Serbest mühendislik, müşavirlik bürosu açarak iş hayatına atıldı, halen bu işle meşgul olmakta.
Fatih Mehmet Erkoç, aynı zamanda Niğde Üniversitesi Fen Bilimleri Enstitüsünde masterını tamamladı. 2001 yılı Aralık ayında AK PARTİ Kahramanmaraş Merkez İlçe teşkilatının kurulması ile yönetim kurulu üyesi ve ardından Merkez İlçe Başkan Yardımcısı olarak görev aldı.
3 Mayıs 2003 tarihinde yapılan Kahramanmaraş Merkez İlçe 1.Olağan Kongresinde Merkez İlçe Başkanı seçildi. Fatih Mehmet Erkoç, Kahramanmaraş Merkez İlçe Başkanlığı görevini 19 Ekim 2008 tarihine kadar sürdürdü. Merkez ilçe 3. olağan kongresinde yeniden aday olmayan Fatih Mehmet Erkoç, 21 Haziran 2009 tarihinde yapılan AK Parti Kahramanmaraş 3.Olağan İl Kongresinde İl Başkanı seçildi. AK Parti 1. 2. ve 3 üncü büyük kongrelerinde delege olarak görev yaptı.
