מעגל חייו של האדם סובב סביב אירועים שונים ורבים. אירועים אישיים שלו ובעיקר אירועים הקשורים לפרט, למשפחה ולחברה, כולם יחד חובקים במעגל חייו ומשובצים בו.אנו רגילים להשתתף בשמחות ובאירועים של רבים, שעימם אנו קשורים במסגרת משפחתנו, עבודתנו וחברתנו. אחד הביטויים, שבו אנו מביעים את השתתפותנו בשמחת האחר הוא באמצעות מילות ברכה, הנאמרות בעל פה או בכתב, ופעמים רבות אנו מצרפים את ברכתנו הכתובה לתשורה הניתנת לבעל האירוע או השמחה. לעיתים כאשר הברכה מוצלחת היא גורמת קורת רוח מרובה לא פחות מאשר התשורה עצמה.
המאגר המוגש באפליקציה זו מכיל נושאים רבים המלווים את חיי האדם בתוך החברה שבה הוא חי.
החומר לוקט ממקורותינו העשירים: תנ"ך, תלמוד, מדרש, ספרות עתיקה, פירסומים שונים ואף אמירות פרטיות של העורך.
חלק מהמובאות הוצאו מהקשרם במקור והותאמו לנושא הברכה. אין לתמוה על כך מכיוון שכך עשו גם גדולים ממני ששילבו פסוקים וחצאי פסוקים בפרושם או בשירם, שלא על פי הפירוש המקורי לאותם פסוקים. די אם נזכיר את אבן עזרא ואבן גבירול ודמויות רבות עד שי עגנון בדורנו.
במקורות אחרים אף שיניתי במעט את המובאה המקורית כגון: הפיכת מילה מלשון זכר ללשון נקבה או מלשון רבים ללשון יחיד. ברוב השינויים ציינתי והוספתי את המילים "על פי" לפני ציון המקור.
במובאות אחרות כתבתי מילים אחדות בכתיב מלא על מנת להקל על הקורא, שאינו מצוי כל כך במקורותינו. יש מובאות שלא ציינתי בהן את המקור כי המובאה ידועה ומוכרת, או שלא מצאתי את המקור, או שהמדובר בניסוח או באמירה פרטית.
מובאות שונות חוזרות על עצמן בפרקים שונים מאחר שאפשר לתת להן משמעויות שונות ולשלבן בברכות לאירועים שונים.
