Nightingale is the first smart home sleep system designed to mask common indoor and outdoor noises to help you sleep better every night. Nightingale works by creating customized blankets of comfortable sound - specifically tuned to mask noises that cause wake occurrences. Nightingale can be customized based on the type of room, the acoustics of the room, and personal sleep conditions. Automatic scheduling allows you to program Nightingale to turn on before bedtime and turn off before you wake up. It can even ramp up the sound blankets slowly over time.Unlike white noise machines, Nightingale sound blankets take into account your room's architecture (wood floors, windows, carpet, etc.) and utilize the walls to reflect sound blankets into the space from two different units, each with 2 speakers. This creates a uniform and even coverage - and means the brain can't perceive where the sound is coming from, making it blend into the background. Nightingale can also play different nature sounds to help ease you to sleep.

• WiFi Operation: Ensure that the signal strength in the room where the units will be located is good. You can check the signal strength using your phone or via a free app (search Google for any free WiFi Meter Application. WiFi signal strength should ideally be in the -50 to -70 range).
• Make sure that the wall outlet that you have chosen to plug Nightingale Sleep System into is NOT a switched plug or the switch must remain in the on position! (If this is unavoidable, then keep in mind that Nightingale only draws power from the lower outlet.)

4 ★Got this sleep machine for Christmas for my husband who has restless night’s sleep as we are located close to a heavily traveled road. A bit of a challenge to set up but once we got it working it’s actually a lot of fun. Been using it for a week. Lots of sounds to choose from, but we seem to like the nature one with the crickets, feels like we are camping out! Love the schedule feature – now when the crickets stop I know that I have to get up!
4 ★Android app installed easily and recognized both Nightingale devices quickly. Connecting to the WiFi was more challenging and required me to relocate the devices to a room closer to the router. Upon relocation, the devices connected to WiFi quickly and painlessly. Setting up the devices was then pretty simple although you have to adjust for the slight lag required for the devices to respond to a settings change. Bottom line is that I had no issues with the Android app but am a bit concerned about the required signal strength needed for WiFi connectivity. Once I thoroughly test these devices I have to relocate them to a room further from the router which may result in connection challenges.
2 ★I suffer from sleep apnea and great device. This has helped with my partner's sanity. However, the app isn't working for me anymore on my new pixel. Just switched from an iPhone where it worked fine. I would rate it higher but it seems the Android app has some issues. But it maybe an user issue too.
1 ★This app is brutal haha took an hour to get one to connect. The second one is not possible like this isn't even beta yet this is still alpha. The product works well with the one I got going, I think it does help I slept great last night. That second one is impossible tho the app crashes constantly and hangs in random places when attempting to first connect to a device. Great device brutal application, tried my iPhone (work) and my Android same problem app is just as bad on Apple.
1 ★Set up and activation is a pain. The program wanted confirmation email toactivate the system. However, once I pressed confirmation, the errormessage came on I got stone walled. No place to reconnect or get by.... Iam returning my unit
1 ★03/06/18: I recently moved and tried to re-install the devices. The app kept crashing. Even after two e-mails with Support and a 30 minute Support call, still dead in the water. V 1.5 After receiving a note regarding the new version, I tried it. Wasted 30 minutes of my time. Could not connect via WiFi. Couldn't finish the set up. App died 4 times. Finally, I gave up. New version is just as bad as the original. V1: App repeatedly. Could not get the system set up. 3/7 Update: 3 days later still not working. Multiple interactions with support did not solve the issues. 3/8: Spent another 30 min with Tech Support - still does not work. Inconceivable that this is so bad and embarrassing for the company.
1 ★Been using the iPhone app for a while and it has worked great. However, Ijust had to swap to Android for work. Not a big deal, right? I mean theyhave an Android app! Turns out it is a big deal. I open the app on my news9+ and it asks me to log in, and I happily oblige. Then it transitionsinto an all white screen (with the signature blue bar at the top). And thenit does it again, and again, and again until the app crashes or I have toforce close it. If I reopen the app, the process repeats. Ifigured...probably just a fluke. So I uninstalled and reinstalled the app,logged in and I'm greeted again by the white swipe of death. It's a realshame, because the Nightingale has been a huge game changer for our home.Please fix this and I'll update my review to 5 stars
3 ★I bought this for when my husband is sleeping after nights and our 1 year old is running around screaming. Since we don't need it all the time I wish you could set day by day schedule. Not everyone sleeps at the same time. Also we couldn't download it on his phone for some reason so we had to use mine. So if he wants it stopped or started he has to ask me to do it. He has a Galaxy S4 which is older but should still work.
5 ★So not sure why I didnt get this sooner. While I would still like to see some more sounds and features, this product is slick and blends right in with my decor. After a little fidgeting and a couple restless nights, I found the schedule feature which allows me to preset on and off and now not only does this help me to sleep, but when it goes off, I wake up ... no more dead phone batteries. I bought a single unit but now i see they have a double unit version which I might check out and put in my babies room. I wonder when they will allow more sounds to be added like the surf and wind? I would also like to tie this into my wemo lights so that I could sync them and maybe even turn lights on and off by speaking to the sleep machine. Another nice feature might be to have the sleep machine play music via bluetooth. I really like this a lot, nice job
1 ★It's been almost 9 months and this app still has difficulty connecting to a $150 speaker. Steer clear of this product.
