1 ★This app is terrible. It says it has automation features but they don't actually work or perform according to how you set them. Does nothing when conditions should trigger a switch, switches prematurely when set to remain on for x hours, needs constant supervision which is the opposite of automation. I finally just gave up and turn on and off manually, and often discover that it's not in the state that I last set it to. The only positive is I haven't seen it disconnect on me. Total rubbish.
1 ★I would give zero stars if I could... 'Enter home wifi password' step when trying to setup a device (Smart plug) I hit confirm, it does absolutely nothing, there is nothing that says password valid/invalid, or why it will not advance to the next step. I have only written 3-4 reviews on any product ever. This is one of them. This app is garbage.
3 ★After seeing the new app realizing that I lost my scenes that I had set up and see extra stuff I dont want, I wanted to uninstall the update, unfortunately this phone doesn't have, uninstall update... like my last phone. After reading some reviews I hope this update didn't ruin this app. Already have another smart bulb with a really crapy app. And this was a good app. I will b disappointed if its ruined. I think all you people that make apps need to have a spot that if the update ruins the app for us we can uninstall the update!!
1 ★Why do I have to register an account and share information to use an outlet? My timed outlet stopped doing it's job to tell me I need to register an account before I can use my power strip and allow my information to be shared with 3rd party companies. I'm never using this app, even if I can't time my outlets, or any other app associated with this company. You are trash Jinvoo.
1 ★Insanely bad... difficult to set up... finally got it working... then suddenly it claims it can't connect to my network after it was just working. Then all I get is non stop error messages... half of which look to be in Chinese, the others make no sense and give you no direction. Deleted app... cleared memory, reinstalled app and now it refuses to even log into my account and just keeps giving me error messages in Chinese. What the hell kind of garbage is this?!
1 ★Not so much the app... But the Jinvoo light bulbs were bad. They would only connect to at&t (quality) router (finally thru a guest, screw security?). After a couple days they (4) lost wifi. I move 1 to another loc but no good. Upon unscrewing the bulb... The bulb 'ITSELF' unscrewed, breaking the wire inside.... This is an electrical shock and fire risk. A second bulb was also easy to unscrew. The other 3 would NOT reconnect to WiFi... AMAZON RETURN CENTER DID NOT ACCEPT THEM I HAVE TO SHIP THEM BACK. Screwed....
2 ★This is a copy of the to tuya smart app. The smart side of this app is garbage. It has settings to change the color and brightness with smart triggers but they don't work at all, the only part of them that works is the scenes and they have been arbitrarily built buy the app creators. So many things are mislabeled this was obviously thrown together without any testing or really much work.
5 ★I was wrong this is the most user friendly app ever. I was just struggling connecting it to my wifi and to help other people out. And if you want to connect your smart plug to your wifi MAKE SURE that your phone, smart plug and router are LITERALLY close to each other (at least 1 foot away from each other) to connect them properly.
5 ★It has been 2 years with my Jinvoo smart plugs. I wish I had purchased a few more. This is my go to plug they are extreamly reliable and work better then other more expensive plugs. They just work with no problems. If you loose power once it is restored they just reconnect. others I have used do not reconnect on thier own and need to be totally reset.
5 ★Thus far the Jinvoo app, and products, have worked quite well. I have a switch in the kid's room programmed to turn off/on. Fans, heaters, and an old coffee pot are also hooked up. This is shared with the Amazon Alexa too.
1 ★I would give it a higher rating but in Ireland our clocks have gone back an hour and the app doesn't take this in to account so I now have to adjust the timers manually by an hour! Changing my rating to 1 star now, it now keeps losing all the timers I set and I tried emailing support but got no reply.
1 ★This app requires you to provide all of your personal info & grant access to everything on your device. That's a major red flag! Deleted the app immediately after reading the Terms of Service!
