Das Pilgern ist eine Möglichkeit, Schöpfungsspiritualität und Biodiversität unmittelbar zu erfahren. Die Natur als Schöpfung Gottes lädt uns ein, sie mit allen Sinnen offen wahrzunehmen und mit unserer Um- und Mitwelt in Kontakt zu treten.Die App "Pilgerwege GAP" dient als Wegbegleiter und Navigator für das Pilgern auf dem Franziskusweg, dem Benediktweg, dem Hildegardweg und dem Jakobsweg. Auf einer interaktiven Karte sehen Nutzer und Nutzerinnen den Verlauf der Wege mit ihren Stationen sowie Inhalte zu Biodiversität und Schöpfungsspiritualität. Nach dem Download ist für die Anwendung der App keine Internetverbindung notwendig.
Die App wurde im Rahmen des Verbundprojektes „Alpenflusslandschaften – Vielfalt leben von Ammersee bis Zugspitze“ vom Katholischen Kreisbildungswerks Garmisch-Partenkirchen in Zusammenarbeit mit navama - technology for nature entwickelt. Gefördert durch das Bundesamt für Naturschutz mit Mitteln des Bundesministeriums für Umwelt, Naturschutz, Bau und Reaktorsicherheit sowie mit Mitteln des Bayerischen Naturschutzfonds.
