DC Metro Transit (Paid) is an ad-free mobile interface for WMATA (Metro and Bus) and other local agencies. A free, ad-supported, version is also available.

Get real-time predictions for DC Metrorail, Metro Bus, Arlington Transit (ART), DC Circulator, DC Streetcar, PG County - The Bus, Fairfax CUE, and UMD Shuttle. Keep track of your favorite stations and sort them however you like! Create home screen shortcuts to your favorite stations by visiting the station’s results screen. There’s also a home screen widget for your Metrorail favorites.

Find your way to the nearest Metrorail stations and WMATA bus stops by using your devices GPS with the “Nearest Stations” feature. Once you have your results, one click will get you turn by turn directions with Google Maps.

Use our interactive map of the Metrorail system to find your way around. Having trouble finding a station entrance?
Click a station on the map and choose “Street View” and have a look around.

5 ★Excellent, accuate and dependable

1 ★The app routinely mistakes the 16Y bus for the 16X bus, which makes catching the 16X bus next to impossible as only every 3rd or 4th bus listed actually shows up (the rest are 16y buses that will stop, right on schedule). Since that's my route, that makes this app completely useless. I would give zero stars if possible. I paid for the full app, after all.

5 ★I've tried other Metro apps, and this one is hands down the best in terms of ease of use and functionality. I use it to see how tight transfers will be and whether it's worth it to wait for a bus. Finally upgraded to the paid version, which I should have done years ago.

2 ★I assumed the paid version would be better than the free version. I was wrong. I've had this app for nearly six months. Franconia-Springfield has shown "data not available" for every day of that time.

5 ★I use this every day. Might be my MVP app. Reliable, snappy, and has home screen shortcuts. Even pulls disruptions. Great for rail or bus. Lovely black background. Love the new version... Crashes are fixed. Addition of advisories to the news screen is nice.

4 ★Basic metro information repasted into ad supported app. Needs a Find-a-Bus-Stop feature that finds finds your closest bus. Would b da best then. New update is AMAZING! Turns my old discarded tablet into the perfect Metro Stop arrival times board mounted on my wall! I bought it it's so good! Make it pretty for 5 stars!

5 ★I've been using this app for at least 4 years. Honestly never thought you all needed an update, but this is a nice new layout.

4 ★Provides convenient access to support my commute every day. I never worry whether this part of my interaction with WMATA will be reliable and fast. After the two most recent upgrades (April, 2014), my kitkat shortcuts remained in place and fully functional. One request: thank you for color coding the minutes until the next train. Please consider allowing users to control the threshold for green, yellow, and red minutes.
