"هذا كتاب في غاية الاختصار والتهذيب، وضعتُه على الكتاب المسمى بـ «التقريب» لينتفع به المحتاج من المبتدئين لفروع الشريعة والدين، وليكون وسيلةً لنجاتي يومَ الدين، ونفعًا لعباده المسلمين؛ إنه سميع دعاء عباده، وقريب مجيب، ومن قصده لا يخيب. {وَإِذَا سَأَلَكَ عِبَادِي عَنِّي فَإِنِّي قَرِيبٌ أُجِيبُ دَعْوَةَ الدَّاعِ إِذَا دَعَانِ} [البقرة: 186]."
