ترجمہ: شیعہ مؤمن کی پانچ نشانیاں ہیں:
شب و روز کے دوران 51 رکعتیں نماز پڑھنا
زیارت اربعین پڑھنا
انگشتری دائیں ہاتھ میں پہننا
سجدے میں پیشانی مٹی پر رکھنا اور
نماز میں بسم اللہ الرحمن الرحیم کو جہر کے ساتھ (بآواز بلند) پڑھنا۔

اربعین حسینی سے مراد سنہ61 ہجری کو واقعہ کربلا میں امام حسین(ع) اور آپ(ع) کے اصحاب کی شہادت کا چالیسواں دن ہے جو ہر سال 20 صفر کو منایا جاتا ہے۔
مشہور تاریخی اسناد کے مطابق اسیران کربلا بھی شام سے رہا ہو کر مدینہ واپس جاتے ہوئے اسی دن یعنی 20 صفر سنہ 61 ہجری کو امام حسین(ع) کی زیارت کے لئے کربلا پہنچے تھے۔اسی طرح جابر بن عبداللہ انصاری بھی اسی دن امام حسین علیہ السلام کی زیارت کے لئے آئے تھے۔اس دن کے خاص اعمال میں سے ایک زیارت اربعین ہے جسے امام حسن عسکری(ع) سے مروی حدیث میں مؤمن کی نشانی بیان کیا گیا ہے۔
