از محمّد بن حارث نوفلى خادم حضرت جواد عليه السّلام نقل شده: وقتى مأمون دخترش را به همسرى حضرت جواد عليه السّلام درآورد، حضرت براى او نوشت: براى هر زنى از جانب شوهرش صداقى است، و حق تعالى دارايى ما را در آخرت ذخيره كرده، همچنان كه دارايى شما را در دنيا به شما داده و من به كابين دختر تو دادم «وسائل الى المسائل» را و آن مناجاتى است كه پدرم به من عنايت كرده، به او نيز از پدرش موسى بن جعفر عليه السّلام رسيده، و به و او پدرش جعفر و به او از پدرش محمّد، و به او از پدرش على بن الحسين، و به او از پدرش حسين، و به او از پدرش امير مؤمنان على بن ابي طالب و به او از رسول خدا صلى اللّه عليه و آله رسيده، كه جبرئيل به آن حضرت سپرد و گفت: اى محمّد ربّ العزّه به تو سلام مى رساند و مى فرمايد: اين كليدهاى گنج هاى دنيا و آخرت است، آن را به سوى خواسته هاى خود وسيله ساز، تا به مراد خود برسى و خواسته تو انجام گيرد، و آن را به حاجت هاى دنيا اختصاص مده، كه بهره آخرتت را كم مى كند، و آن ده وسيله است كه به واسطه آن، درهاى خواسته ها گشوده مى شود، و به سبب آنها حاجات درخواست مى گردد، و به انجام مى رسد.
