5 ★So Much Fun for Kids, and So helpful for adults. Morning is crazy for us, and I love being able to give my daughter this app to let her brush her teeth, and know they are being done well. She loves the filters she gets to use, and I love knowing I can check on how well she Brushed without standing over her shoulder.
3 ★Once you learn how to hold the brush and that the phone needs to be able to see the bottom of the toothbrush at all times, it's a breeze. My daughter loves the masks and prizes and boasts every night about how many germs she squashed. Only issue currently is the app freezing and crashing at the very end of her brushing session 3 nights in a row now. She's lost all earned gems each time. I'm going to try uninstalling and redownloading to fix the issue, really hoping we don't lose any progress.
2 ★My daughter loves unlocking all the fun "hats" and collecting diamonds. At first, it was PERFECT. But then the pause was taken away for kids to spit. That wasn't a big deal. We can just pause it during. However, in the last month or so, the app has frozen immediately after I pause it or even right before she gets done brushing and stops responding, so she loses all those points. The concept is amazing though, the app is just a bit buggy.
1 ★Original Review 12/10/20: It is having a tough time picking up the tooth brushes and the ability to change profile pictures and personalize stopped working leading my 4 yo to a phenomenal melt down. It does give him motivation to brush and would be 5 stars if they would work the issues out. Also, I find it frustrating that it cannot be placed on my husband or daughters phones without giving them access to my email. Update 3/4/21. There is no change. Issues are still not fixed. Waste of money.
5 ★It has really helped our eight year old to brush her teeth longer and better. Before she would only do a few seconds now she follows along with the app and brushes her teeth for at least one minute. The app does at times not recognize when she is using the toothbrush, I'm guessing due to the small area that the app sees. Overall I do like this game app for my daughter since it has improved her tooth brushing skills.
1 ★Was bad, then got worse. At first it was hot and miss.worked fine for my son, and only half the time for daughter. Now it never works for either of them. It always says that it can't see the magik toothbrush. It's right in front of the camera, no matter how we position it doesn't see it. Now the kids don't even want to bother with it.
4 ★Almost perfect! My son's (6 and 9) would hardly ever brush their teeth. Now they are so excited ever night and fight over who gets to brush first. Only problem is that it misses some of their teeth (they are brushing where the app tells them too but it's saying they aren't). We decided that it's because they are lefties and it's gets confused by that. I'm happy that they live to brush their teeth but feel bad that they get frustrated.
2 ★Had this for a year now and recently the app crashes or doesn't recognize the toothbrush. Soo frustrating!! My son is over it and we barely use it now. Please fix it and make it like it was last year when it actually worked. And it no longer states to spit the toothpaste and we can no longer adjust the time. So annoyed! Was great but is no longer!
2 ★Ugh. Got this to test out for free, and was so excited because our 8 year old has a history of cavities and sealants. It worked great for a couple of weeks, but just within the past few days it's stopped recognizing the brush. Nothing else has changed - phone is the same, placement is the same, but now we have a frustrated boy and even more frustrated parents who can no longer track his brushing success. Hoping for an update soon to fix these issues, and can see that I'm not the only one.
4 ★Very positive experience with this app. My 5 yr old son looks forward to brushing, even multiple times a day (gasp). However I feel like our last update changed the brushing routine. It used to brush for a minute, rinse, brush for another minute, then rinse . Now it brushes for 2 mins (it seems really short but I haven't timed it) and then instructs the child to rinse the brush w/o rinsing his mouth, then prizes. This is a big deal for me, please bring back mouth rinsing!
2 ★Everything was working fine for the last month for my son and I even bought another one for my daughter since she liked his so much. But recently my sons account keeps freezing after the 2 minute timer is up and he can not collect his prizes. Needless to say I have a very upset kid who can't understand why his efforts are not being recognized by the app. I really wish I would have read reviews on the app store before buying 2 of these things and recommended it to a family members.
3 ★This worked for almost a year and we enjoyed it greatly. Then all of a sudden it lost all the data and cleared out all of my daughters information, points, etc. and I am logged in. It also is harder for it to recognize the toothbrush. Very disappointed on the changes that have happened.
