Allah Ta’ala berfirman,
وَسَبِّحُوهُ بُكْرَةً وَأَصِيلًا
“Dan bertasbihlah kepada-Nya diwaktu pagi dan sore.”
ه ُوَ الَّذِي يُصَلِّي عَلَيْكُمْ وَمَلَائِكَتُهُ لِيُخْرِجَكُمْ مِنَ الظُّلُمَاتِ إِلَى النُّورِ ۚ وَكَانَ بِالْمُؤْمِنِينَ رَحِيمًا
“Dialah yang memberi rahmat kepadamu dan malaikat-Nya (memohonkan ampunan untukmu), supaya Dia mengeluarkan kamu dari kegelapan kepada cahaya (yang terang).
Dan adalah Dia Maha Penyayang kepada orang-orang yang beriman” (QS. Al-Ahzab: 42-43). Makna Al-Ashiil dalam ayat yang agung ini adalah waktu antara ashar
sampai sebelum tenggelamnya matahari.
فَاصْبِرْ إِنَّ وَعْدَ اللَّهِ حَقٌّ وَاسْتَغْفِرْ لِذَنْبِكَ وَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ بِالْعَشِيِّ وَالْإِبْكَارِ
“Maka bersabarlah kamu, karena sesungguhnya janji Allah itu benar, dan mohonlah ampunan untuk dosamu dan bertasbihlah seraya memuji Tuhanmu pada waktu
sore dan pagi” (QS. Ghafir: 55).
