Pupuh adalah bentuk sastra sunda yang berbentuk puisi, yang memiliki jumlah suku kata dan rima tertentu di setiap barisnya. ( guru wilangan, guru lagu, dan watek). Guru wilangan adalah jumlah engang (suku kata) tiap padalisan (larik/baris).Guru lagu adalah sora panungtung (bunyi vokal akhir) tiap padalisan. Sedangkan watek adalah karakteristik isi pupuh.
