كان المؤلف يعمل كإداري في أحد البنوك ولمدة ستة عشر سنة ، ولكن - وكما يقول - ( حلم حياتي بأن أكون مدرسا ... لقد أحببت أن يكون لي تأثير على جيل كامل) ولتحقيق هذا الحلم التحق بجامعة مفتوحة بدوام جزئي حتى أنهاها ثم درس موظفين البنك كنوع من التدريب له ، وكذلك فتح فصولا لتعليم الكبار في المساء .وعندما بدأ التدريس ، ولكنه صدم بالتدريس فيقول: ( وبكل صراحة أقول: لقد كانت تلك الدروس عبارة عن ساحة معركة ، وصحيح أنني كنت أعرف مادني حق المعرفة ، ولكن المشكلة هي أنني لم أن أعرف كيف أدرسها ، لقد كان الطلاب يشعرون بالملل في درسي . وكنت طوال الوقت أصرخ وأوجه عشرات التهديدات ، وأطلق العقوبات بالجملة . وفي نهاية كل درس تراني منهكا ومحبطا)
ولكن صاحبنا لم يستسلم لواقعه التعليمي ، ولم يلق بالائمة على الطلاب وغيرهم بل فكر بما يمكنه هو تغييره ، وعن مكمن الخطأ لديه قبل غيره ولذا غير من نفسه وبالتالي من واقع حصته التعليمية وهذا من خلال حضوره لدى معلمين من ذوي الخبرات العالية ( درس توضيحي) والمقارنة بين طرقهم والوسائل التي يستخدمها ولذا يقول: ( فبدأت أسأل هؤلاء المعلمين الكثير من الأسئلة ،وأدون ملحوظاتهم على دفتر ) حتى تجمع لديه العديد من الدفاتر ثم يقول:( وحين تكون إحدى الحصص الدراسية ناجحة فإنني أجلس بعدها متأملا لأعرف السبب وراء كونها كذلك ،ثم أدون جوهر السبب في نجاح الدرس ) .
وهكذا تكون لديه العديد من الخبرات التراكمية والتي ينقحها من خلال تجاربه وتطبيقاته الشخصية فأخرجها للمعلمين وغيرهم ، علما أنه معلم في المرحلة الثانوية .
ولا أظنك أخي العزيز ( معلما أو مشرفا) بأقل منه كفاءة ولا قدرة على تسجل ما يمربك من مواقف تعليمية .
