كـرتون دراغـون بـول تبدأ القصة بوصول الطفل السيانزي سون غوكو إلى كوكب الأرض بعد أن تم ارساله من كوكب فيجيتا والذي يدعى بكوكب السيانز عندما يصل بطلنا سون غوكو إلى الأرض يسقط في أحد الأنهار بالصدفة يقابله رجل عجوز كبير في السن يدعى سون جوهان واحبه كثيراً وقرر ان يقوم بتربيته، لكنه كان طفلاً مشاكساً كثيراً إلى أن وقع على رأسه في أحد الأيام من الجبل وهو يحاول أخذ التفاحة من الشجرة وبعد ذلك الحادث عاد إلى طبع الأطفال العاديين.كبر غوكو على يد الرجل العجوز حتى كبر قليلً ومات العجوز وهو صغير على يد غوكو المتحول إلى قرد لقد كان سون جوهان يدربه تدريبات شاقه ومتعبه وقد وجد غوكو صديق حميم له يدعى كريلين لقد تعرف عليه منذ الصغر وكانوا يتدربون في الوقت نفسه إلى أن بدأ دوري دراجون بول, ذهب كريلين وغوكو و روشي إلى البطولة لقد كانت البطولة جميله رغم خسارتة ضد معلمه روشي, وبعد عدة أعوام أجريت البطولة مرة أخرى وتعرف غوكو إلى امرأة تدعى تشي تشي ومن هنا بدأت حياة غوكو تكبر شيئاً فشيئاً بعد ان تزوجها غوكو وانجب منها أطفال (هم : جوهان، غوتين) ومن هنا بدأ مسلسل كرة التنين زد بدايه قويه ولقد أصبح غوكو يافعاً وقوياً يدافع عن أهالي الأرض ويقاتل الأشرار الذين يأتون من كواكب مختلفه.
