Aceasta reprezintă prima ediţie romano-catolică a Bibliei în limba română tradusă după textele originale de pr. Alois Bulai şi pr. Eduard Patraşcu, fiind publicată de Editura Sapientia a Institutului Teologic Romano-Catolic din Iaşi (Departamentul de Cercetare Biblică) în iunie 2013. Traducerea este una noua, direct din limbile originare si cu consultarea celor mai competente traduceri pe plan internațional si multiconfesional.Noua traducere a Bibliei catolice a fost începută în anul 1991 de profesorul Alois Bulai. Profesorului Alois Bulai i s-a alăturat ulterior și Eduard Pătraşcu, directorul Departamentul pentru Cercetare Biblică Iaşi. Rezultatul muncii lor de 20 de ani este cea mai modernă variantă a Bibliei care există în România
