Description

Anticipate is an open source web browsing tool that finds and prepares for links on-screen so they load much faster when you open them (similar to what mobile/desktop Chrome does when you're browsing in them).

Features:
- Customize blacklist/whitelist of link-scanning
- Monitor links being pre-loaded
- QuickSwitch Bubbles (beta): opens up Custom Tabs to start loading a page, then immediately switches back to your previous app, with a bubble to open the loaded page

When a link is found, Ancitipate does the following using Chrome Custom Tabs*:
- DNS pre-resolution of the main domain
- DNS pre-resolution of the most likely sub-resources
- Pre-connection to the destination including HTTPS/TLS negotiation
- Pre-render the page**

*according to the Chrome Custom Tabs documentation
**only on non-metered connections (e.g. WiFi)

Inspired by Chromer (by Arun Kumar) for using Chrome Custom Tabs. Brought pre-loading, dynamic toolbar color, and QuickSwitch Bubbles first to the market.

Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

2 ★Switched from Chromer this morning but after running it for several hours now it's very slow compared to Chromer. Not sure how or why it's slower but just feels like it's delayed a bit. I want to like it but if it's not as fast as it could possibly be (eg not on par with Chromer) then there's really not too much point using it.
5 ★People can't read it is NOT like Chromer, when you open an app with links in it, it will load ALL the pages so when you open them they load instantly. So if there are several links on the screen and you are on 3G it will be slower to load if you click a link directly (because it's loading the others too), but if you are for example reading an article all links will open instantly after. I'd like a wifi only feature.
1 ★Switched from chromer today, but i don't find any benifit of switching. CHROMER seems to be much better in every terms.
5 ★Switched from Chromer after they stole your open source code to add the preloading features. Always prefer open code if I have the option. Thanks for the perfect app
5 ★Screw bad devs! Heard about Chromer dev taking your code and not open sourcing it. FOSS rules
5 ★Both are awesome. The Anticipate Dev has himself mentioned that he got inspired from Chromer. So guys, what's the issue here?
4 ★Recently switched from Chromer, and I do have a question, will Anticipate ever include shared login data like Chromer has?
5 ★Integrated with Android in an amazing way. Lazy app devs should get with CCT
4 ★Great app with some great original ideas. The drama isn't worth getting into.
5 ★I anticipate that Chromer will add new features after each update plusCubed releases.
3 ★Most of the application use accessibility, meaning all are copied your source? Did you validate the code? Sorry again one star The logic for the code used in both app are universal. Every one has to follow the same coding... Example for loop.... Hope you understand my concern. Let me stop here by giving 3*
5 ★Far better than chromer and truly open source too.
