A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.
Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?
A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading). As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.
Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?
A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.
Q: What are Android App permissions?
A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

2 ★It's a great concept, but in practice the stories are often incomplete or there aren't many sources for a given story. It's good when it works though. But I have to take off more stars for the business model. I look at one story (just the headlines, not even a full article!) and before I even get to one end of the spectrum the app is already blocking me and demanding a subscription to continue. The "daily limit" seems to be extremely small, greatly diminishing the app's usefulness.
3 ★Great content. Bugs crop up sometimes though. Right now, can't open an article in an external browser window and the link to the app doesn't work inside the embedded browser. This is problematic, as my favorite news source has a paywall. I'm a subscriber but I can't get out to the browser or the source's app to view the whole article. Also, scrolling is a bit messed up on the Pixel 6 Pro.
3 ★This is a great app, and I was excited about the concept. BUT for people who are trying to limit exposure to the 24/7 news cycle, I do not recommend. This app send multiple "breaking news" push notifications every day. There is an option to reduce the number of notifications, but it did not make a difference. After selecting 1-2 notifications a day, I still continued to receive many notifications all throughout the day, every day. The personalization features don't make a difference either!
3 ★Updated from 1 star to 3 stars after fixing some of the formatting issues. App is running better for me, still a bit cluttered in my opinion. The L/C/R bars under the articles are a bit small, making those a little larger vertically on the screen would be useful for me personally, I often have to go back and try multiple times before I touch the right spot on it
3 ★Has potential, needs work. My "Local" feed keeps populating with international stories and articles about very non-local places. The bias reporting is useful and I like seeing multiple sources side by side and easily identified. The app is visually a little cluttered...too many menus and buttons all over. Also, they need to refresh the articles more often. Seems like I keep seeing the same articles all day, with very few updates.
4 ★The algorithm could use a lot of work. There are a lot of major stories that just don't show up on my feed, even if I single out the tag and look at that. Florida just passed a bill removing rent control, and I couldn't find that in any feed or the Florida Politics tab. Would love to see improvement, the core idea of this app is great. I just want it to show more relevant articles
5 ★I uninstalled this when it required me to log in before showing me any news. An app to collect info for advertisers. Update: I reinstalled after reading about the update and now have access to a flood of news from a global perspective. This app has a bit of a learning curve because it packs so much information onto a small screen that I kept finding more layers. The bias ratings for sources are useful when reading unfamiliar publications. Good on large phones, excellent on tablets.
1 ★Bait and switch, period! By "Bait and Switch", I mean you don't tell us that there's a fee, monthly fee or subscription fee, up front! Any amount of a fee, to continue the use of the app, other than the normal fees of buying an app just to get rid of ads, should be printed on top, in the ad, not until you have the app set up. Bait and switch is when you HIDE the extra fees or subscription fees and a person only finds out, after we start using the app. I can't believe the author doesn't know what Bait and Switch is.
4 ★Seems decent enough. Quick improvements i could think of is 1. being able to copy the link for the news article. (Currently it only seems like you can only copy the link to the ground summary) 2.Also I'm not sure or not but it seems like only recent articles will be shown. Meaning this app may only be useful for recent news. (I just got it so still playing around with it but I've noticed it). This related back to 1. Because i like to store links to articles to view later.
4 ★EDIT: Raising rating to 4 stars as some key bugs were fixed. Amazing idea. App is very buggy (and could use a nicer UI). When I open an article and swipe L or R to view the sources I get a popup telling me to purchase an upgrade. When I cancel it most actions on the screen are locked and those that function just open the source I am on. Have heard their Instagram is better and will try there.
3 ★I love the concept, but the app has a long way to go. The UI is ugly and cluttered and not at all customizable. Certain news sources I just *never* want to see can't be filtered out entirely. "Less like this" doesn't work because the tags are often wrong. Adding interests is also limited - there's no search or manual entry; you just have to scroll through subjects sorted by trending and popularity. And worst of all: you have to read the news on the individual outlets' ad- and popup-filled sites.
1 ★Watched a YouTube ad and then went through the sign-up process before anything was mentioned about a paid subscription to unlock all the features. It's in the fine print, but they definitely try to trick people into downloading the app before discovering it. If they were honest up front and offered a free trial, I may have subscribed. It's actually a decent app. However, tricking people just like the media companies they are exposing is a dirty trick. For that reason alone, it deserves 0 stars.
