1 ★The site does not initially show the actual US price of any item. You have to submit an order request & wait for the merchant to reply with the true price. My experience after putting in a few requests was that the listed price & merchant price were far apart. Example. 1 item I inquired about was listed for $250; merchant came back at over $2,000 (including $500 shipping fee & over $200 worth of taxes). I can buy this particular item locally for cheaper than that.
2 ★There's nothing on that site that I would even bother going through the mess to try and figure out how to buy anything and the prices are so high you'd have to an idiot to pay the shipping and have to buy 100 pieces from most sellers or you'll be paying 3 times what you can buy that same item in the states? Confusing, time waiting for answers then waiting for delivery. Things are never what they appear to be once you take a closer look at each item.
4 ★Nice shopping app. If you have to dispute something they always intervene. But once I accidentally inputted $0 as my request refund (it was just $0 by default) and they accepted the dispute but I got no money out of it (and it was $40!). There's no way to dispute it again and no one to contact. That was just unlucky though, overall this app is good. Just be catios when disputing something, if you don't dot every i or cross every t, you'll loose your chance.
1 ★First: i love the service provided by Alibaba. Its amazing to be connected with vendors around the globe. that said, the app and the desktop interface are so full of bugs as to make them absolutely infuriating to use (lose) on a daily basis. My background is web programming and i manage full stack projects. so when i speak about the "bugs" in this app it is very unlikely to be "operator error" as some have suggested. messages hiding and reappearimg mid conversation with vendors mid conversati
4 ★I ordered for the first time through Alibaba and the contact from the company was very patient with me and very helpful. I wish there was better descriptions of the products, it would be very helpful. The shipping charges for each individual item can get vety expensive, sometimes more so than the item itself. That will stop me from buying. Perhaps the companies could offer discounted/bundled shipping for items from the same company.
4 ★This is an excellent resource for getting items at the prices they actually cost before insane retail markup. Be careful for scammers, as there are plenty. I ONLY do business with suppliers with multiple badges, several years of business history, and positive feedback. If it seems too good to be true, IT IS! If buying for resale, get a sample sent to inspect quality etc. Took a star for the, at times, excessive messages sent from suppliers. But overall a good app, I haven't been burned! 😁👍
5 ★I like the app. The only downside is a couple of things. It's considerably laggy most of the time. Videos kind of stop playing most of the time and have to buffer. It'll take any page you just opened like 30 seconds to fully load amd sometimes it just gives up. The messages area is the same. Sending images and other files through the messanger built into Alibaba is terrible which is it's no wondet why everyone uses WhatsApp. Other than that it's kind of glitchy at times. Mind you I have 50mb net.
1 ★I've used this app and it sucks! I've never been able to order from it so it's useless. Prices would be great if you could actually purchase an item. It also would be nice for actual pictures of items as well as prices. I guess it's not made to purchase from thought I had found something better than wish 😂🤣 I won't ever download it again really wish the advertising for this app would get shut down
3 ★Okay app, but OMG the notifications! So many advertisment notifications! They push poducts it thinks i may be interested in, or even entire categories it wants me to look at. After blocking the notification category for the ads, it continued to show them by using a different category! And it doesn't even use the standard Android notification style, instead overriding it with a terrible custom version! This app legitimately feels more like spam/malware than a legitimate purchasing tool. Not good.
2 ★The app overall serves it purpose but has a few bugs, first and most annoying is that if you don't force stop the app it forces all music/video volume through the speaker. Regardless of what is connected. Second it commonly struggles to open up some of the screens from the home screen. But otherwise it's still mostly usable.
1 ★This app is most disappointing this year compared to 2018. Buying products for my personal use is now a futile endeavor. It has proven to be an unnecessary hassle and too much of my valuable time was consumed. The number of options are very limited pertaining to the number of brands, colors, design, and size. Previously (2018) I was able to order just what I needed for my personal use. I see the prices of their (limited brands) products and shipping have risen dramatically.
5 ★I love looking thru everything you can order on this site. I have yet to order and I do find it difficult some times figuring out how many pieces is be getting for one price. This is what has stopped me from making purchases so far. I have sent messages to sellers asking them various questions about their products and everyone has been super friendly and answered my questions quickly. I'm planning on making a few small purchases soon,, to see how things go. I think it's going to work out great!
