Operation of HERO ICE:
- Install and open the app
- On personal details page, enter your personal information
- Mention your medical information on the next page
- Add emergency contacts from among your friends and family, who would be readily available in case of emergency
- Your ICE card would be created and ready for use
- Open the app before you start your journey and click on ‘Let’s Go’
The app also has a feature to create multiple ICE cards for your friends and family members. It is also advisable to use the ‘Print’ feature to keep a copy of the ICE card handy,
Disclaimer: HERO ICE uses smart phone accelerometer and GPS data. It is not 100% accurate and may not work in all situations of accident. Therefore, the instant help message will take sixty seconds to reach emergency contact's phone. In case of wrong alarm, you have the option to dismiss it within a minute. If the phone is locked, the message would be immediately sent to your emergency contacts, but the ICE card would only be visible after entering the pass code.
