Description

The J. J. Keller® Encompass® ELD app is the industry’s most simple, flexible and affordable driver electronic log available. Formerly known as KellerMobile, this patented ELD mandate-compliant solution is used by commercial motor vehicle drivers to electronically capture hours-of-service duty status information, replacing the driver’s paper log book. The app uses a driver-friendly interface to present hours-of-service data to drivers, helping them optimize their on-duty and driving hours and reducing the risk of violations. The solution works with class 1-8 vehicles and offers many industry and state-specific HOS rulesets, accommodating exempt, non-regulated, hyrail and team drivers.

The Encompass® ELD app is compliant with ELD (Part 395 Subpart B and Part 395 Appendix) rules. The electronic logging device is on the FMCSA ELD registry. The Encompass® ELD app is part of the J. J. Keller® Encompass® Fleet Management System, which uses the J. J. Keller® electronic logging device and the Encompass® back office portal.

HOW DOES IT WORK:
Hours-of-service and telematics data is captured from the engine via a hardline adapter from the engine’s diagnostic port into the ELD hardware. The hardware continuously records and stores engine data. Data is transmitted via Bluetooth from the hardware to the Encompass® ELD application on drivers’ Android™ devices. Hours-of-service data and alerts are presented to the drivers in real time using compliance rulesets determined by the company. Data from the Android™ device is transmitted via cellular connection to the Encompass® online back office for hours-of-service auditing, reporting and recordkeeping.

Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

1 ★Complete trash. Surprised I get paid correctly every week. But it's a challenge to do so. Constantly have to babysit it all day to make sure its connected to the truck or online at all. Crashes all the time. Probably waste 1-2 hours a week trying to connect to the truck, log in, submit pre and post trips. Use Peoplenet or something else if you have options. Unfortunately I do not.
4 ★Much improved after my initial review. Crashes less, although it still hangs up here and there. Making the discovery feature optional is nice. (6/30/19) ** Very buggy...crashes quite a bit. Clunky log on, having to "find" the truck, or wait for it to fail before you can go on duty. Overall, it does work, but is the worst elog app I have ever used.
1 ★Horrible ELD This app is not intuitive in any way, shape, or form. The icons in the app look more like something you would find on AOL back in the 90's. Want to put a comment with your status change? Nope, can't do that. Instead you have to hunt through the menu and edit your status to put in a comment. Want to find out your total mileage for the day? Good luck, I'm still trying to figure that one out. Coming from a big name in trucking this ELD app is a huge let down. Shame on JJ Keller
4 ★They have worked on the app and it is working alot better now. The support is very good and getting in touch them is also fast and with ease. I was surprized. My supervisor stated that they kept her online for 1/2 hr and she hung up. The point is they are working to keep us legal as best as they can.
1 ★App frequently crashes during startup with no error reporting option. Ive also been using it for over a year now and the Android version still has no option to login without the app automatically trying to connect to and AOBRD, even though the iOS version has had it for at least several months. Only upgrade since last review is that app connects to AOBRD more quickly now. Recently I've frequently had an issue when trying to log out where the dashboard is there, but interface is nonresponsive.
1 ★How did you possibly make the app worse?!?!?! Now whenever the vehicle stops for more than 30 seconds, we have to be concerned the app is going to take the status from off-duty personal conveyance to on-duty driving. And not only that, but when I jump back into the truck and look at the status it tells me off-duty. It isn't until the truck starts moving that the status changes and then I am in violation! This app sucks and you should be ashamed of yourselves for this product.
5 ★Driving. LOG. VIEW. HOUR
1 ★This is by far THE WORST ELD SERVICE.... It will log you on with 1ft movement of the tire or 1mph., it does NOT alow you to adjust for ANY MOVEMENT no matter how slight regardless for reason..... When you call., you can exspect to wait on hold for 2+ hours the whole time listening to a message that screams at you: your call is important to us....MY ASS...
1 ★Was okay when I first used this system. The more updates, downloads, bug fixes, etc. the worse this experience with your company has become. Your app is slower and thinks too much. I have lost an enormous and cumulative amount of drive time when I'm parked. i.e. to fuel or @ customer's facility. The dash unit hasn't communicated to my phone my truck is not in motion. The most I've lost was 2:37 due to the screen freezing on the three pie charts counting down the drive, 14hr, & 70hr clocks.
1 ★The app runs slowly; if I have Bluetooth music or Google maps running for navigation, my phone will often freeze when paired to the Keller box. Also, it should take 2-3 minutes of waiting if Im not driving dor the day and just want to keeo my "on duty mot driving" current. The app ALWAYS looks for devices even if you wont drive. Terrible. The absolute worse part od this app is how invasive it is. Try navigating when in a city. EVERYTIME you stop and then resume moving it closes your map.
2 ★In the past there where alot of nights I went to log in and it would not let me . So I would have to drive not logged in.and it messed my driving time up..and we all know how much fun that is when you get pulled in to get inspection by CHP...ticket time..this would happen 1 to 2 times a month..the company I drive for payed the tickets..if you are owner / driver for your self..keep an eye on this one.it may cost you a lot in the end.
2 ★works good for a while then issues with bluetooth, keeps driver on duty when driver is driving at times. have to ho back in and assign drive times. connection issues. won't log drivers off all the time. they log in and have a big red circle due to them being kept on duty after they logged off.
