Progetto Vita è il primo progetto europeo di defibrillazione precoce per la lotta contro la morte improvvisa da arresto cardiaco che ogni anno colpisce oltre 60.000 vite. Progetto Vita coinvolge associazioni di volontariato, enti pubblici e privati. L'obiettivo del progetto vita è quello di aumentare la sopravvivenza dopo un arresto cardiaco attraverso la defibrillazione precoce e la diffusione della cultura dell'emergenza cardiologica fra la popolazione e l'integrazione con il 118.La app di Progetto Vita permette di richiedere e fornire aiuto. Quando si chiama il 118 tramite la app viene allertata anche la rete dei soccorritori di Progetto Vita che sempre tramite la app ricevono la segnalazione e possono intervenire.
Al momento la app di Progetto Vita e' efficace solo in alcune città, nel resto d'Italia compone semplicemente il numero del 118.
