İsraf sonucunda yaşanan ekonomik kayıplar ile Türkiye yılda toplam 2 milyon 739 bin derslikli 171 bin okul, toplam 3 milyon 379 bin yataklı 11 bin 263 hastane veya 68 milyon vatandaşa yıllık 3bin 147 liralık yardım yapılabilecekken; bu kaynağın hepsi gıdayla birlikte daha el değmeden çöpe gidiyor.
