1 ★In addition to what I said below, the articles are full of typos... The new update is way too slow. -Opening animation looks nice but takes an unnecessary amount of time, especially after you have used the app a few times and watched the animation each time. -initial loading of home page takes up to 30 seconds or doesn't load at all. -home page is much harder to read top stories and see breaking news. This is the classic case of why you don't fix what isn't broken.
1 ★Way, way, WAY TOO MANY ADS! And not just simple banner ads. Oh no! These are the half page VIDEO ads that auto-play themselves. Or you will be trying to read something and an ad above, or below, will come into focus and take you away from what you were trying to read. I understand chasing a dollar, but you have gone WAY beyond that with your app. Folks don't waste your time downloading this app.
2 ★I previously loved the app however am very disappointed with the new version. Its not user friendly, cannot watch live feeds, and generally cannot find what I am looking for even when using the search tab. I love 9News but since the new version I have been using other apps for news and weather. I loved having a preview of the top stories and them being able to scroll down to the section I needed. Please go back to the old format.
3 ★App closes unexpectedly while reading. Yes, I have uninstalled and reinstalled on a recent factory reset device. It still occurs several times a week. App is slow loading, which is especially annoying after it shuts down in the middle of reading an article. The writing for web news in general is poorly edited with incorrect words or spelling, and 9News is no exception.
1 ★Unfortunatly, the new app doesn't work with the kindle or nook. I often wonder why if the writers do any beta testing anymoore. The old app worked fine. Perhaps in this case the old saying applies.. If it isn't broke ,don't fix it. Or you could given the consumer a choice, of upgrading. It reminds me of Miccrosoft., Releasing new buggy software then making patches for the softer. After it was released.
1 ★Clunky and obnoxious. Stories are interrupted mid-read with irrelevant advertising. Cannot swipe from story to story as in the previous version, you have to return to the home screen to find the next "interesting" headline. Weather information is no longer in with headlines but on its own page, which requires navigation back to the home page in order to access it. Not worth keeping on my phone, switching to Denver 7 KMGH for easier access to the news I want to read.
1 ★Boy if you like advertisements!!!!? Download this app and you'll get 1 every 2 seconds trying to watch a top story. And what's worse is after the billion advertisements the original video that you clicked on isn't even the same one anymore! it's completely different!! Oh my goodness "car crash" click on it and now it's a "parade video". What kind of bs are you trying to pull? You just change it to an advertisement app and be done...
1 ★Update- this app is not very good. It's not easy to find articles, scrolling is super slow and choppy and finding stuff is difficult. Today's biggest story was a potential lockdown coming for several counties. I had to scroll to find it!! Weather portion is good. I also like the buttons to connect and submit stories and pictures!

2 ★The video quality is horrible and the top of the feed is dark. Looks like a shadow from the header. You have to watch an ad to hear audio. Then the ad plays you miss the news and I often get stuck watching another 4 to 5mins of live feed commercials before seeing the news. The only reason your not getting one star is because you offer this service.
3 ★Worked fine for several months but has stopped opening now. Have force stopped, updated and reinstalled. Still takes 1 full minute to tell me that there is no internet connection? Huh? I'm at home! After touching "try again" it finally opens. Channel 9 NBC IS MY HOME TOWN FAVORITE! FOX OR PLEASE!
1 ★Used to be a great app. Now only plays ads before playing live video, but instead of live video it says cannot play video due to my internet connection. Very funny that my internet is stable enough to play political ads, but not stable enough to play any live content.
