Sistem Ujian Nasional Berbasis Komputer (UNBK) adalah sistem baru yang telah diuji coba lewat instruksi pemerintah sejak dua tahun Terakhir. Tahun 2018, Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan (Mendikbud) menargetkan seluruh siswa MA, SMA dan SMK di Indonesia akan memakai sistem tersebut.Tahun 2018 pelaksanaan UNBK untuk jenjang MA,SMA,SMK dan sederajat baru mencapai 80 persen dan untuk jenjang SMP baru 40 persen. Jika masih ada MA,SMA,SMK yangbelum mampu menerapkan UNBK karena keterbatasan jumlah komputer, maka sekolah dibantu pemerintah daerah setempat harus mengupayakan.
