The Troop 2970 app was created to improve communication among scout and adult members: you can join conversations, share photos, learn about and RSVP for upcoming events, and quickly find contact info for all members.Boy Scout Troop 2970, sponsored by Our Savior's Way Lutheran Church in Ashburn, serves boys from all parts of eastern Loudoun County, Virginia. Visitors are always welcome to visit Troop 2970. Directions can be found under the About Our Troop section of our website www.troop2970.org.
Troop 2970 provides an outstanding annual program created by scouts for scouts. Activities include camping, hiking, biking, canoeing, climbing, caving, snowsports, high adventure and regular summer camps, with a strong commitment to District, Council and National events.
Our troop is boy led using the patrol method. The older scouts with the most experience offer leadership and guidance to younger scouts. Our adult leadership assists our youth leadership to mentor young men as they dream, execute and experience scouting’s ideas to the fullest.
Our mission is to prepare young men to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.
