Rasulullah bersabda: “Tiadalah sesuatu kaum yang mengurangi sukatan dan timbangan itu malainkan nanti Allah akan mencabut nikmat-Nya dan membuat penguasa zalim memerintah mereka. Tidak ada orang yang menahan zakat, kecuali Allah akan menahan turunnya hujan dari langit.” Riwayat Ibnu Majah dan Ibnu Umar.
