3 ★Was good but now it won't open. Forces me to upgrade to British Gas Smart app which is useless. Full of marketing junk. Won't retain login details. Have to reregister every time. Why mess with something good and replace it with rubbish?
1 ★utter rubbish, just the same as their call centres.. dont use avoid.. freezes, logs out, spend some money on it and maybe stop giving out the money to share holders. also registered for your rewards thing so many times... never get anything and been with you 3 years... utter turd... also tried to change contract and given really bad sales advice.. told i could not be told the new price until i signed up and agreed to it and then they would tell me new price..
1 ★this seems to be miss leading at best. it takes you to a dash board for your direct debit tells you that british gas mya owe me over 500 pounds by the end of the plan. recomends that you decrease your monthly dd then fails to save even after numerous attemps. ps. have saved a copy of the screens and this message for future reference. and also i dont think a 12 monly review is appropriate and should it not be quarterly. am seriously thinking of changing suppler.
1 ★Little time has been spent on the app.. it's very limited, poor functionality and terribly slow. I put this down to the fact that its just a big con.. promote an app/smart metre. and then make it near enough impossible to switch energy providers... if you can avoid having a smart metre and app!!!
1 ★This app is unusable now. Every time its open a pop up blocks the screen promoting the new app (which i already have installed and is inferior in my opinion), this pop up is un closable. I dont use twitter so wont be DM'ing, talk to an advisor will not work in the app as its unusable and in the new app no advisor is EVER available. Just fix the pop up for a better review.
1 ★doesn't work for gas meter tried reinstall still only electric meter balance. top up history is way out of date and updates never fix anything. terrible app from such a big company. one star is being generous. updates only make it perform worse. electric now out of date by 2 weeks tried uninstall, meter reset nothing works. big thumbs down.
1 ★absolutely terrible I set this app for my mum and dad and as it's just been updated it's gone from bad to worse...British Gas charge a fortune for shockingly poor service..yet again British Gas update the App and now it won't even accept who my dad is I've spent hours wasted with British gas trying to sort out this app for my elderly mum and dad. British Gas are a disgrace and I'm looking to get them to change to another supplier.
1 ★Doesnt work. Useless. Website isnt very open to lots sections therefore go to app, both my Samsung J5 and my Amazon fire, which were working 7-10 days ago now just flash up the ' upgrade app version ' whenever i try to open them. Then when i follow the prompts and end up in Google play, it tells me my device isnt suitable or my device might not have all features or some nonsense. I uninstall and download again no problem but when i try to open the app, the whole shambolic episode restarts !
3 ★when it works it is ok, slow to load but easy enough to use and convenient. Biggest problem is the amount of times the app wont work, saying the service isn't working at the moment,try again later. Worse still is when you get through to topping up and as you are submitting it tells you its not working- but that you have exceeded your limit of top ups so cant continue...even though you werent able to top up because it wasnt working!!!!
2 ★Awful ... worse than the original. Switched as advised. To date Ive been unable to add any credit nor see much. It freezes too often. Has lost my stored card information. So for now, its off to the shops to top up the electricity. Very inconvenient and useless. Disappointed. Needs reviewing urgently.
3 ★A poor app considering such a large company that charge higher rates than most the competition. The top up balance is never accurate to the time you request it, sometimes a month old. At least the top up works ☺ but then again that is the part where they take your cash.
1 ★the app worked when i got my smart pay as you meter except it doesn't tell me my balance and now its stopped working altogether. i received a text from british gas saying I have no credit in my meter but I still have £47 in it.they said it's in my contract to top up which I do monthly and didn't think I I had to do it straight away as I am still in credit!!!
