Nel 1480 Antonello Sanseverino, Principe di Salerno e Signore di Diano sposa Costanza, figlia di Federico da Montefeltro, il grande Duca di Urbino. In ricordo di questo avvenimento, per riviverne i fasti e la magnificenza, la Pro Loco di Teggiano (SA), ogni anno, organizza questa festa medioevale di metà agosto. È una occasione unica per poter godere di tutto il patrimonio artistico e culturale di Teggiano visto che in tutti i monumenti, contemporaneamente aperti per l'occasione, sono possibili visite guidate. Accompagnati da sbandieratori e tamburini, allietati dal suono melodioso e accattivante dei musici, distratti dai vari spettacoli allestiti da numerosi giocolieri, menestrelli, mangiafuoco si possono godere, lungo il percorso appositamente prestabilito, le delizie di pietanze sapientemente imbandite nelle Taverne.Tra i centri storici della Provincia di Salerno, Teggiano (m. 635 s.l.m.) è certamente quello che ha conservato meglio la sua antica fisionomia di roccaforte ed è con tale aspetto che si presenta a chi raggiunge il suo Centro Storico. In epoca medioevale l'allora Diano ha avuto un ruolo predominante nella storia del Vallo di Diano. Difatti la potente famiglia Sanseverino vi costruì il Castello e la elesse a roccaforte dove potersi rifugiare in caso di pericolo. Lì Antonello Sanseverino, Principe di Salerno e signore dello Stato di Diano, insieme a molti altri feudatari della zona, ordì la Congiura dei baroni, una sorta di sommossa fiscale contro il re di Napoli Federico d'Aragona e conclusa nel 1487 con l'accordo fra le parti.
La manifestazione si tiene nei giorni 11-12-13 agosto.
