Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

User's Reivew

4 ★Used it for years...since Windows 7. Used to be so features were free. Now, the best features no longer work unless you pay a monthly premium fee. Poppycock. I will never pay a monthly fee. Better off just paying one time to own a software suite than a monthly fee. So, I still recommend the app but not the greedy management. Hence only 4 of what could be 5 stars.
1 ★Great idea, good app, still has a long ways to go. The recipes auto populated in the app are hit and miss. Sometimes they load beautifully into the app, populating ingredient lists properly, sometimes a simple comma or dash can trip it up. Some recipes don't listen the ingredients properly, so you need to review them first and make sure things match. The good thing is, if you subscribe you can copy any recipe and edit it to your liking or add your own. The grocery list has stopped functioning.
5 ★I've had the free version for a while but recently upgraded to premium to try out the menu planner. Love it! Makes trips to the grocery store so much easier! I've been able to find almost every recipe I've looked for and have used the ratings and comments of other users, to tailor delicious meals for my entire family to enjoy. Thanks Big Oven!
4 ★Some other reviews and some people. If the ingredients don't match prep, that's because a user didn't enter the information correctly. Not BigOven's fault. And complaining about features are Pro only. 16 bucks a year. Worth it. Especially for single parents who have to plan a week of meals and only want to hit the store once or twice. My complaint is my grocery list isn't syncing between tablet, phone and website. Uninstall from tablet and ok Something wrong with mutiple devices app data
2 ★It's alright but there is a lot of efficiency issues that make it more of a hassle than a help. The grocery list doesn't aggregate well since recipes might have one slight thing off for similar ingredients such as soft butter vs softened butter. The other issue is none of the collections ever update. I've had this app for a year. The weekly top fav has not changed since. Maybe everyone really does make the same 5 things every week. There's several other issues like this that just make going on a computer so much easier. It is nice for storing recipes you like though!
4 ★Was not exactly what I was looking for, but still a decent app. Great for recipes in one spot. And a place to put meal planning. But was hoping it would have a place to store what ingredients I already had so I could see recipes I could make. Only allows you to manually enter 3 "left over" ingredients each time.
1 ★Had high hopes for this app, but it was a dismal failure on the very first recipe I tried to add. Tried the clipping option, which failed, and the instructions they gave on how to use it made no sense. So I then added the recipe manually via copy and paste. Apparently, the app doesn't know how to parse fraction amounts properly, as an amount like "1/4 tsp ground cumin" came in as qty 1 of the item "/4 tsp. ground cumin." Then the best part... I tried to edit the recipe from the Android app, only to find there is NO RECIPE EDIT FEATURE!! Seriously, how do you release an app like this without this basic feature. Garbage.
4 ★Does almost everything I want, but I would love to see filters for nutritional profiles, like low calorie, low carb, etc. Search terms sometimes go wonky: Looking for "canned tomatoes" will turn up every kind of tomato under the sun. These are nitpicks, but a major problem is that it will not sync between my laptop and my phone. I've spent the past few hours searching for a new recipe app just for this reason, but I can't seem to find one that does everything that this one does.
5 ★The recipes are easy to follow. Also you can search a variety of different key words at one time. Overall a good culinary app.
2 ★The recipe clipper was not able to scrape Gordon Ramsay's Beef Wellington recipe from his website, which is forgivable. Not so forgivable were the plethora of UI bugs. 1. text in the ingredients text box is deleted when changing orientation 2. a floating toolbar (cut, paste, select all...) that doesn't go away 3. overlapping elements in manual recipie pane (in galaxy s8 +) 4. slow reacting UI Shame, this could really have been a great app.
1 ★Unfortunately, I have to change my review. I am a paying "pro member." I have experienced a number of bugs and UX problems, many of which are app-breaking, and I am reaching my final straw. Phone App: constantly crashes from the most basic of functions, such as editing grocery list and adding meals to the planner or even just scrolling through the calendar planner. Web App: Horribly slow database connection, so that you wait 10 seconds or more between even the most basic of actions (which could easily be cached to my local computer), and archaic error messages EVERY TIME I try to "create grocery list from meal calendar". I am not kidding, it is every time. Today, I am just not allowed to use one of the most essential features of the app. There are plenty of other small bugs as well. The web app used to be better, but obviously they are not treating their software developers properly, because the app is a total mess lately. Its downright infurating, and I am a paying user. If this doesnt shape up, I am leaving this app in the dust, I dont care if I need to re-add all my saved recipes in another app. This is unacceptable.
2 ★I got this for the "use up leftovers" function, but the built in search bar is out of wack. You're forced to choose ingredients from the predicted words and can't choose ingredients that aren't predicted, but the predicted words are so limited that I've never been able to use this function. For example, when I type in "milk" I get the options almond milk, skim milk, evaporated milk, and condensed milk, which means I don't get options like normal cows milk. Made this app utterly unusable for me.
