হযরত আলী (রাঃ) হতে বর্ণিত আছে যে , হযরত মুহাম্মদ (সাঃ) ইরশাদ করেছেন যে - ঐ ব্যক্তিই কৃপন যার সম্মুখে আমার নাম মোবারক উচ্চারণ করা হল অথচ সে আমার উপর দুরূদ শরীফ পাঠ করলনা ( বুখারী - নাসায়ী )। দরুদ শরীফ সমুহ হচ্ছে আল্লাহ ও তার রাসূলের নৈকট্য লাভের জন্য একমাত্র মাধ্যম। আল্লাহর দুরুদ শরীফ পাঠ করা ব্যতিত কোনো ইবাদতই আল্লাহর কাছে গ্রহণ যোগ্য হবে না।
