La radio se ideó como un espacio en Teocelo donde toda la comunidad pudiera participar independientemente de gobiernos, sexenios y partidos.La emisora nació en 1965 con la idea de crear un medio donde tanto hombres como mujeres, jóvenes y adultos tuvieran la posibilidad de ver por el progreso de la población.
