De Open Kaart App geeft een overzicht van beschikbaar Open Data Materiaal van de Nederlandse Overheid.Bekijk in de app de BAG, het Nationaal Wegenbestand, open data van Rijkswaterstaat, Waterschappen en het Kadaster.
Via de berichten functie kan commentaar geplaatst worden over de kaarten.
Open Data apps op maat
2CoolMonkeys ontwikkelt sinds 2008 open data apps op maat. Deze app gebruikt dan ook data uit een aantal Open Data bronnen. Het kabinet moedigt Open Data apps aan, omdat deze leiden tot een minder complexe en een meer transparantere overheid. 2CoolMonkeys ontsluit Open Databronnen naar apps. Voorbeelden hiervan zijn de Rijksoverheid app, de Wijs op Reis app van het ministerie van Buitenlandse Zaken, de Noordzee Atlas van Rijkswaterstaat, de Grenspalen app van het Kadaster en de de digitale loket app van de gemeente Utrecht.
